The VT family has made our country proud as you have been so horribly harmed.  Stay strong, cling to each other and never forget, but remain the great warm college community we know you are and will be once again.  Take the time to heal.  We are praying for each of you.  God bless each of you.

I spent the first 28 years of my life rooting against Virgina Tech, I’m a Boston guy you see. And Boston guys root for the home team....

The Red Sox, The Patriots and the BC Eagles.

But I remember those games against the Hokies and those fans…

Mothers, Fathers, Sons & Daugters now gone…

I’m overcome with sadness but will say one thing, we’re all rooting for you now Tech.

Go Hokies and God Bless…

I fell in love with Blacksburg, VA the first time I set foot on campus and to this day I consider Virginia Tech my home away from home.  Virginia Tech is one of the most beautiful places on God’s earth and I will always remember it as such.  The HOKIE Nation will show the world the true meaning of community love and support.  My heart aches and my prayers are continuous.  God Bless You All!

I can’t imagine the pain that all of you are going through.  This has been tough for me and I don’t live anywhere near there, however I am a college student and this just has been very difficult for me to hear.  I wanted to tell you that my prayers and thoughts are with each and every student, faculty, law enforcement.  You are all very much in my thoughts continuously.  I wish all of you the very best and will continue to pray for you and all of your families.

Thirty-two bright and brilliant lives snuffed out in a moment of insanity.  Mere words cannot express my feelings of sadness and shock.  God only knows what these remarkable young people would have accomplished in their lifetimes to make the world a better place.  They will live on in the hearts of everyone they touched. The images of these caring, gentle, innocent people are forever etched in the minds of those who were not fortunate to have known them personally.  The world will never forget them.  God Bless You.

We aren’t from Virginia, have never set foot on the campus of Virginia Tech, will never meet the families and friends of the lost, but our hearts ache just the same.  The fear and grief resounds over the miles and each of us are living a little differently than before.  Our prayers reach out to you.  May God be with you everyday and help you to find your future.

April 19, 2007, 10:56am • #29593

My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family, friends and students after this senseless act of violence. May God’s light shine on you to give you the strength and hope to make it through this difficult time.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next. Amen.

Deepest sympathies.....
Love & Light,
Beth Montgomery

I am an absent Hokie. Class of 1988 and never been back. The events of this week really brought me home to Blacksburg. I can’t get past how awful this is. Just wanted to let all of you know that I am with you all now. My sincerest condolences to everyone who lost a family member or friend. The hollow feeling I have must be nothing compared to what you are feeling.

This horrible event has made me proud to be a Hokie, seeing the strength and heroism on TV from afar. Ultimately, this will make us stronger, and we will never forget those that didn’t get to make the journey with us.

Go Hokies!

Virginia Tech & Blacksburg are places that have been called “home” by so many of us.  During this time of unimaginable pain and sadness, I think all Hokies past, present, & future share in the grief that was inflicted on our home.  My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected directly and indirectly.

To quote Ms. Giovanni from her poem, “We are Virginia Tech. We will prevail...”

To Hokies everywhere:  Never lose faith, never forget, find the strength to carry on in our times of sadness.

Hokie Pride.  Ut Prosim.

As the parent of a recent VT graduate, I believe it is so important to hold onto what makes us all respect and cherish what the University represents - immensely talented students, faculty, and close-knit sense of community.

We mourn with the families of those so senselessly taken on 4/16/07 and we recognize that only time will heal our sadness.

Although our spirits are dimmed, let us all honor those who died by grasping that Hokie pride! Let it be our constant strength in the difficult days and weeks ahead.
