My deepest condolences to all affected by the VT tragedy. I hope and wish that everyone can pick themselves up and continue moving forward (as I’m sure the victims would have wanted) sooner rather than later . . .

To all who hurt from this awful event I pray that you will feel all the love and prayers this county and the world sends your way. As a former Hokie mom I know you will be strengthened by the love of your communittee in Blacksburg, they are such sweet and kind people who always make us feel like family.

My heart is heavy with sadness for your campus community, and the families and friends of those who died. It doesn’t seem like it just now, but you WILL survive, and you WILL be stronger.

God did not cause this tragedy; rather He ALLOWED it, but wants to spiritually grow each person this has touched. Cry out to God; He knows you’re hurting just now and it is okay to feel angry and sad.

Remember the words of Is. 40:31 “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

God Bless all of you.

The Eternal is there

In darkest day or darkest night,
The Eternal is there.

When I have experienced loss of a loved one and been in despair,
The Eternal is there.

When I feel sick, tired and lonely,
The Eternal is there.

When you need forgiveness and man won’t,
The Eternal is there.

When you need encouragement, love and someone who cares,
The Eternal is there.

When I have fallen and need someone to lean on to bring me back,
The Eternal is there.

When you want knowledge, understanding and wisdom to learn the right way to live,
The Eternal is there.

After the Sun, Moon and Universe have passed away,
The Eternal will be there.

For He is the Eternal God, The One we call Father, The One who loves the innocent and His creation. The one who gave us the Promise of Christ. The One who will share His name and His Kingdom. The One who is called the Eternal, He will always be there.

To all students, parents and loved ones of all those whose lives were taken by this tragedy of inexplicable evil.
May God bless you and bring you strength and comfort with His promised love and peace.  May all of you find healing and peace in the days and months to come.  May God’s everlasting love touch your souls with knowledge that your loved ones are in the everlasting arms.
Know that you are not alone, you have prayers that have been lifted up in all of the victims names, that their souls are at peace.
We, in this country are with you, please know that our heartfelt prayers continue and that all of the victims are being thought of and so are you family members.
All that they did that day was to continue to better themselves.
Professors who had dedicated their lives to teaching the young so that lives were enriched.
Students with dreams and hopes and expectations.
Parents that sent their most cherished and loved possessions to the college of their child’s choice.
These people were innocent and loved individuals that we will never forget.
Evil will never win in the end,God will win, and He took these precious human beings unto himself because He knew that they were innocent and Heaven opened its doors and welcomed them home.

April 19, 2007, 10:51am • Charleston, WV • #29549

As a class of 2006 alumnus of Virginia Tech, I’m deeply saddened by this tragedy and how such a horrific tragedy could afflict my beloved campus.

I am frustrated, saddened and shocked that something like this could ever happen there.  Every time I see the images on television of what the campus has turned into, my heart sinks.  If I was capable of crying, I would cry my eyes out.  But I have cried inside over and over.

I wished to wake up one day and not see Virginia Tech on every newspaper, magazine, tabloid, radio station and news show.

We don’t want this record that we have just claimed.  This is not Blacksburg.  This is not Virginia Tech.  Virginia Tech is academics.  Virginia Tech is a peaceful sanctuary.  This is the school and town that I know and love.

Eventually the wounds will heal.  But the victims of April 16th will always be in our hearts.

We will overcome and we will grow stronger as a community as a result of this.  But I pray to God that nothing like this ever happens again anywhere!

I pray for the families, friends, and victims who were so deeply affected by this tragedy.

I love Virginia Tech and am proud to call myself a Hokie.

Dear Hokies,

As thoughts race through my mind I find it difficult to put to words how deeply sorry I am for this tragic event.

Nikki Giovanni said it best when she said “We will continue to invent the future through our blood and tears and through all our sadness ... We are the Hokies ...”

You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you all begin the healing process.

I am very saddened by the senseless loss of life at your university.  I am a 95 graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, one of your ACC rivals.  However, I have friends who are alumni of VT.  Your tragedy is a human one, not regional or even national.  So I say Go Hokies!  I’m sure you will get beyond this, but never forget.

Virginia Tech means so much to me—it was my home, then my home away from home after I graduated. It was where I met my husband, it was where I made friends for life.  Stepping onto the campus over the years, you can’t help but sense an incredible feeling of community and energy in the air.  It is the love and hope inherent in our community that will pull us through this terrible tragedy.  Never let that diminish.  Live your lives in the spirit of “Ut Prosim,” and honor our fallen brothers and sisters by continuing to show the whole world what it means to be a Virginia Tech Hokie.

You all will be remembered, NEVER forgotten.  Your legacy shall be forever remembered in who you were, something no one can ever take away.  May who you all were bring peace to to all of the families and the lives you’ve all touched; and all of us who mourn your departure from this world

My thoughts, prayers, and tears go out to all who have been affected by this horrific tragedy.

It is so hard to find the words to comfort, so hard to ignore the bursts of anger, but through this whole ordeal, strength can be found in one another, in prayer and in reflection. Each of those wonderful beings touched so many lives and though many of them are gone too soon, their spirit and their essence will endure.

This Tuesday I had school practice, when my fellow student showed me the newspaper article. At first I thought it was a joke, but then I realized that it was real and it really shocked me. Why do people do this? That’s the only question you’re left with: Why…
Now I ask myself when it will happen in our country, because whatever happens in the USA, it will, at one point, happen over here…
I wish you all luck in the world to get over this and be able to move on. I know it won’t be easy, but you have each other, so please, be there for one another! I know you can do that, because I know that’s what Americans do!! With the help of each other and the help of God you can really support each other.

With love, Ninja Pillen
