My thoughts are with the students, faculty, staff and parents at Virginia Tech this week. I still can’t quite believe this has happened to such a wonderful community. I’ll be wearing maroon and orange on Friday.

Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there
I do not sleep

I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow

I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle Autumn rain

When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds

In circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night

Do not stand at my grave and cry

I am not there
I did not die

THIS POEM WAS READ AT BOTH MY MOTHER’S FUNERAL AND MY NEPHEW WHO WAS 15...OF COURSE THERE WILL BE WEEPING...SADNESS...LOSS...HOWEVER, MAYBE THIS POEM WILL BE OF SOME COMFORT TO YOU IN TIME...AND THEIR SPIRITS DO LIVE...MAY GOD HOLD ALL OF YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND AND YOUR GAURDIAN ANGELS BE WITH ALL OF YOU!

As a Hokie alumnus I wish I could be in Blacksburg to share your sorrow and anguish.  I wish I could be there to hold each of you in this time of pain.  All I can say is I know a loving God is holding each of the victims in his arms today and will be giving each of you the strength to deal with the emotions and experiences you will be going through.

I will be praying for you, for the families of the victims and for the Hokie nation.

My family and I would like to express our deepest sorrow and most sincere condolences for all those students, teachers and families that have lost so much in Monday’s tragic attack.

We would like to offer an idea we believe will bring some comfort to the families of the students during this terrible ordeal. We think the university should provide Diplomas to the families of the students that lost their lives, as a tribute to their academic achievements and dreams at the university.

We are not sure who to contact about our idea, so we thought to post it here in hopes that someone can pass our idea on to someone that can make it happen.

Thank you for listening. Our hearts and prayers go out to all the victims and their families.

My thoughts & Prayers are with you all.
Our Lord Jesus Christ will be with you in your time of need.
I am praying for all the families that were affected in this horrific event.
Hopefully with all the information that we will learn from this individual & other individuals that have done crimes like this,
we will be able to prevent this in the near future.
Everyone sees the symptoms & knows what people like this are capable of doing,
so we must STOP it before it happens again.
Something has to CHANGE!!
These individuals need serious help before this happens again.
SPEAK up & do something,so we are not left with saying what could i have done differently?
Go to your congress, go to whoever you have to so our laws will be changed.
Speak OUT & lets try to put an end to this.

God Bless you All..

Today the greatest feeling is love and the greatest kindness humanity and the greatest gift sacrifice.. We will never forget this day nor the students who would have been our future leaders, doctors, engineers but were sacrificed for some incoherent cause, the crazed ramblings of the greatest coward we have ever seen in history of the United States. Well today in the world we will all stand together and say we are all HOKIE’S!!!!!!.  My prayers are you with VT.

To the VT community and to those families who have lost a precious loved one,

May God embrace and take to heaven those who have been taken too soon. May he also be with the families of those who have lost a loved one and may he also give strength to all those family members, faculty, students, staff and friends left behind with a little piece of them gone with each victim. I hope that in the days, weeks and months ahead that you all will prevail and that right now we all share in your grief and pain. They are all angels in heavan looking down on us and they will know that the world will miss them.

God Bless all of you.

This is unbelievable.  The horror you felt, the pain you felt, and the images that are thrust before you now.  I can only begin to imagine the pain…

Nobody should have died that day; nobody should feel fear for trying to better themselves and the world.  Unfortunately, it did happen and it happened to one of the country’s most prestigious universities.  To me, I can’t feel the pain because I can’t begin to fathom the enormous impact it must have.

Although this is probably near impossible right now…

Keep your head up, keep your hearts open, and for the victims:  **May Angels Lead You In**

Words cannot express the shock and anguish that we all feel over this tragic and senseless act.  I have spent the last few days reading the paper, watching the news, wondering what I can do.  This is our community, our home, our school ~ I know we all take this personally and it breaks my heart that this happened.  All of that said, I am thankful for VT...it is where I became who I am today and who I will be tomorrow.  It is a humble place in my heart that will always hold treasured memories.  We must continue to pray for our fellow hokies.  We must remain strong and we must show the world that we are Virginia Tech.

Love to you all,
Ayanna
