My prayers are with the familys that lost a love one. Remember, that they still live in your memories and hearts and never to forget those. Cherish the memories of your love ones.

As a 1976 graduate of Va Tech, the horror, ahock and deep sorrow for all the students and administration was and remains indescriable.  For those parents who lost their precious children, for those who lost their spouses, their will be healing.  I only hpoe and pray that God will extend mercies and comfort to all and that somehow, something good will come out of this for all affected.  Tech will recover and move on to be a tremendously positive influence on this nation.
God bless each of you and my prayers are with you.

My father was a member of Virginia Tech’s very first post-season football bowl team (Jan 1, 1947 Sun Bowl) and, as such, have been a proud Hokie since I was a tiny toddler.  Like so many others throughout the country and around the globe, I am deeply saddened by this senseless tragedy.  My heart aches and I send profound sympathy out to those who have suffered such a terrible loss.  God bless all of you.

It’s hard to find the right words to say,
When so many, so young, are taken away.
Not by their choice from this world did they part,
Leaving indelible memories etched in our hearts.
In the midst of great learning, an act so vile and base
Could not overpower acts of courage and grace.
Without fear for himself, one man stood his ground
Now others will live, while he’s Heaven-bound.
The grief of a parent is like that of no other.
No child should die before his father or mother.
We grieve with you all, though you may never know
How many millions of tears from America flow.
So Friday we’ll don our orange and maroon
And say a heartfelt prayer that someday soon
The tears will ebb, and the pain subside
You’ll smile again with your Hokie pride.
So hold each other and pray tonight
That these new Angels wing’s take flight
And lead them from this painful space
To His Kingdom filled with Peace and Grace.

Godspeed, We are praying for you daily.

Though I attended Brigham Young University, my heart has always been for my home of Virginia and rooting on the Hokies. Many of my high school friends were accepted there, including my little brother. I am relieved that none of them were caught in the crossfire.

My heart aches for those who know no such relief and expresses sympathy for the loved ones of those who have passed in this tragedy.

May God bless you and hold you as you deal with the pain. I offer you my love, my prayers, open ears, and a helping hand should you ever need them.

With a heavy, but hopeful heart,
Rob Hickman

During my four years at Tech I never imagined that this would have ever happend.  I always felt welcome and safe and events like this always seemed so far away, not that that makes them any better.  I was truely saddend and shocked by the events of Monday, yet at the same time I felt more pride in the school than I had before, seeing and hearing of the heroic acts of my fellow Hokies.  My prayers and thoughts are with the families, friends, the University itself, and everyone else in the Hokie Nation.

Dear VT community,

I am so deeply saddened by the terrible events on your campus. Something of this magnitude reinforces how fragile life can be. It puts all things in perspective.
Words are not adequate. But know that all of you and your families are in my thoughts and prayers.  May peace return to your campus, to each of you individually and to your families.  May God touch each of your hearts. Draw strength from one another and from those who care so very much.

Lift them up Lord, on the gentle wings of Angels,
to a better place.
Where the warm sun shines on snow capped mountains across crystal clear waters.
Where there is no war, no hate, where humankind are free,
Where tragedy is gone.
Where love rules.
Where happiness is King.
Lift them up Lord on the wings of angels to a better place.
