I WISH TO ADD MY VOICE TO THE CHORUS OF PEOPLE WHO SEND THEIR LOVE, PRAYERS, AND THOUGHTS TO VIRGINIA TECH UNIVERSITY. I WAS HORRIFIED AT WHAT HAPPENED MONDAY. YET, AT THE SAME TIME, I WISH TO SAY THAT THERE IS PRIDE BEHIND MY TEARS. I AM SO VERY PROUD OF THE WAY THAT THE VIRGINIA TECH FAMILY HAS HANDLED THIS TRAGEDY.
I ALSO WANT TO SAY THAT THE VICTIMS ARE GREAT PEOPLE. TO THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS, I WANT THEM TO KNOW THAT ON MONDAY, THEY DIDN’T DIE SO MUCH BECAUSE OF SOMETHING AS MUCH AS THEY DIED FOR SOMETHING.
THEY DIED FOR OUR RIGHT TO LIVE IN A FREE SOCIETY. THEY DIED FOR THE RIGHT OF YOUNG PEOPLE TO CAPTURE THE FUTURE. THEY DIED FOR ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS TO ONE DAY SOLVE THE MONUMENTAL PROBLEMS THAT FACE US ALL. GOD BLESS THEM ALL.
TO ALL VIRGINIA TECH STUDENTS, PLEASE LIVE FOR THE VICTIMS. TAKE HEART, AND NEVER SURRENDER. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all, with the victims and especially, with their families which now have angels in heaven to look over them and to love them from the other side.

Don’t ever give up, for the best way to honour the ones which are not with you anymore is doing what they would have loved doing.

I graduated just two years ago and reasontly move to Australia with my husband. I want all the families and friends affected to know that distance doesn’t stop the heart from caring. I want to express my deepest sympathies and those of my Australian community. The support from my Australian neighbors has been profound. So take comfort in the knowledge that even as far away from home as you could get there a strangers crying for you and sending you all of thier strength.

What happened earlier this week is unbelievable. In the UK we were glued to the news channels as the full events of the day unfolded and, like the rest of the world, we found ourselves totally shocked and stunned by the enormity of it all.

I am not a religious man but I, like many Brits will be saying a prayer to all who have been touched by this tragedy.

To those who have been so sadly taken - A peaceful farewell.

To those who have lost a loved one - The strength to cope.

To the thousands of students of Viginia Tech - The courage to continue and excel.

LOVE TO YOU ALL.

I don’t know if this is the right place to post this, but I’m sure you will forward it to the right place: please, would it be possible to have a picture and a short biography of the victims?. I think we all would love knowing them, even if they are on the other side.

Thank you.

I find it tragic what has occured. I hope that the students and faculty on campus can find some type of closure after this incident. Let us also not forget that in some twisted way we are all to blame for what has happened and maybe if we as a people would be less egocentric and concern ourselves quite a bit more with our fellow man, then possibly we as a society can avoid people feeling helpless, unwanted and consumed by hatred. Unfortunately at most Universities if your not apart of a fraternity, sorority, or some other clique, your just another nobody to be kicked to the curb. This is not how Jesus intended for us to get along with our fellow man or how to love one another. We need to change this mentality of having to be “cool”, or “popular”, otherwise we can look forward to more incidents of misunderstood people acting out for negative attention. Try and be nice to everyone, we never know who needs it more than others. PEOPLE PLEASE WAKE UP! Life is not you or me, it’s WE.

i may be millions miles away.
oceans apart from your continent.
but deeply saddend about the tragedy
that struck a community that
i have known through sports and cable TV.

but i too was once a student.
went to college and made new friends then.
some are still around and some are gone forever.

and life has to go on.
it may take some time to heal the wounds.
to forget what transpired on that fateful day.
to think that friends that used to be on our side
are gone forever.

it may be hard but we should thank them
for the laughters, the sadness, the petty quarrels,
and for the love they shared.

God bless them. God bless us all
