All,

No one can begin to understand what you have lived through.  We can only pray that God will give you the stength to continue to reach for the stars and believe in good.  Take time, lots of time hold on tight to each other and one day you will dance again.  May God be with you all and may you find the peace to trust again.

A mothers hug,

Estimated, relatives, friends and companions: by means of the present one I try to express my deep pain and my indignation for the fatal tragedy that started(extracted) the life to the pupils of the University.
The crime and the insecurity have won once again, because they have broken any hope on having truncated the life of a few young men, plenary session of illusions. How suplir a son, daughter, mother, father or brothers, a friend? Again(afresh) the pain calls us to this infinite loss that no other being can fill.
What I can say of a pain that is beyond any human comprehension, out of everything conceivable; what explanation can be opposite to something that does not have raison d’être and where one gets lost in the desperation again and again, without being gone out?
The human life is sacred and any fact that prevents his(her, your) accomplishment takes from us the love and the will to celebrate the beauty of day after day

I have never been more proud to be a Virginia Tech Alumni than I am today and forever from this day forward.  No one can comprehend what has happened, but we all know that the Virginia Tech family and community will persevere.

Everyone in the world is supporting us now and we will overcome.  My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the lost, and the students, faculty, and alumni of this great school.

To the entire community of Virginia Tech I send my love and prayer that your grief will pass and healing begin. In the chain of human life we are all connected. Each one of us is a link to the next. As do the geese when they fly to and from their home, they form a V and honk to encourage the leader and the rest to keep going. When the leader tires, another takes its place and the tired one is still supported by the rest.

The support you give to each other in this trying time will keep the link strong, losing someone is never easy but having love and caring for each other is priceless.

Keep faith my Hokie brothers and sisters.

One does not need to meet the students who have been affected by this mass tragedy in order to feel sorrow and grief regarding the loss of innocent life that took place on the campus of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University on Monday the 16th of April, 2007.

I would like to extend my warmest and most heart felt condolences to all the families, friends, teachers, professors, instructors, mentors, advisors, staff members, neighbors, partners, parents, siblings, relatives and professionals such as the state, local, and federal law enforcement officials and the Emergency Medical Technicians who have been involved or touched by this horrendous and inexplicable, underserved, unwarranted and maniac catastrophe.

We are used to watching bad news take place in far away lands and cultures, but when it hits home, when it touches our hearts like this, the gripping feeling of helplessness needs to be acknowledged by all human beings in all countries, from all cultures, all religions, to reassure ourselves that we do belong to a global village and that your loss is our loss too.

God bless you and God bless us all.

MY family and I are shocked and saddened by this senseless tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this extremely difficult time. To the survivors, and all at Virginia Tech

My heart and sould goes out to all of you, and I am truly shocked and saddened by this tragedy.

For those who wonder what could have been done that was not, if there were errors made, I believe they were human errors, not errors of neglect. We should all remember that in order to have done more than was done, first one would have to imagine something this horrible, and that was unimaginable.

My prayers are with you all and I am inspired by your composure and intelligence in this difficult time.

My Dear!
I will not hold your hand anymore…
I will not see you walking to class…

My Dear!
I will not hear your voice…
I will not see you face …

My Dear!
I will always dream of your eyes
While looking at the sky…

My Dear!
I will always hear your whisper
While listening to my heart…

My Dear!
I will always sense your soul
While gazing at the stars above…

My Dear!
Words of hope
Rest over my body …

Good night….My Dear!
Rest in peace now!
For I will always keep
Tuck away in heart
The images of your smile….

To the Virginia Tech Family,

We have set by our televisions, our radios, our computers and just watched in horror the shootings at your school. Some of us cried and some of us watched in disbelief. It’s kind of hard to understand! Not here was what I thought. This quaint town in Virginia where I’ve once visited. Not there!

But the one thing that I have come to grips with is the fact that eventhough this has claimed so many innocent, brave, and bright young lives GOD still has us all in his hands and he does see all. VT family, your sorrow is expected and welcomed but know that the country and the world are also grieving right along with you. Me and my family will continue to pray for you and your families strength. May GOD bless and keep you, tenderly, in his everlasting arms.

With our love, Bateya Jackson and Brenda Jackson-Powell

Dear VT families, friends and staff
My heart goes out to all of you that are suffering. My family is mourning with you, and all of you are in our prays. I hope these statements from this website help you to cope and grow from this tragic incident. Going to my college campus the next day, it seemed as everyone felt surreal and the campus felt uneasy, even being thousands of miles away. April 16th has affected all of us here in St. Louis. The state lowered our flags at half staff, in memory of the victims. We are thinking of you all. God bless the victims, families, friends and the staff at VT.

Dear VA-Tech students and parents,
I was called to substitute in a classroom on Monday.  I had taken a small radio, and turned it on before the students came in.  I learned about the first shooting, and called my husband to contact my brother in Virginia, because my nephew is at VA-Tech!  The school secretary came to the class saying that our nephew was okey.  I did not hear any more news until school finished at 3 o’clock.  I then learned about the magnitude of the massacre.
In the darkest and deepest sorrows of our life, Jesus has given us comfort.  His Word the Bible contains messages of eternal hope, forgiveness, and strength to meet each day. He walked through those hours, days, and months as only He, the Living Lord could do.  I met Him when I was a sophomore in college in 1965.  He changed my life.  Jesus loves you, and He has conquered death!
Tuesday my daughter and I watched your Convocation.  We cried with you.  We have been praying for you.  John and Denise Holland

Our thoughts, prayers and hearts go out to all of the VA Tech Students, Faculty, their Families and their Friends.

Although there are no words that can do anything to minimize the pain that you all are going through, I hope it helps, in some way, to know that there is a whole world of people out here who are willing to do whatever they can to help you through this unspeakable tragedy.

If only we, as global citizens, would learn, understand, and exemplify the meaning of: Love One Another.  As my college-age son & I listened to Nikki Giovanni speak on yesterday, I realized just how long ago it has been since I had listened to her in person as a college student & sadly, just how much the world has changed since that time.

Our prayers are for the souls of those departed (far too soon), their families and friends, everyone affiliated wirh VA Tech, the parents/family of the shooter, AND mankind, the world over, that we might indeed learn to peacefully co-exist on earth.

My heart is just completely broken for the families who have lost loves ones for no reason.
But I can assure you they all had a purpose while they were here and obviously touched so many lives.  I am a Christian and I have a strong faith in Jesus Christ, but even I don’t know why these things happen, that is where our faith comes in.  I have not been able to hold back the tears for these families, my heart hurts for you.  Please stand firm in Christ.  I know I did when I went through such horrible storms in my own life.  To every family member involved, I send a hug and a prayer and just remember that the nation as a whole has come together in prayer.  Keep the faith and may you feel God’s peace and comfort throughout this ordeal.
