I cannot even begin to say anything that would make anyone feel any better about this tragedy.  I just wanted you all to know that I cry right along with you all!  I dont know 1 person at VT, but my heartaches for all of you.  The best thing that I can do for all of you is to keep praying strength and unity for the school body.  Nothing will ever be the same, but as long as you all stand strong and you embrace each other and the grief that each of you are feeling, you will become a very strong school with more unity than you could imamgine.  Please stay strong and be patient with each other in this grieving process.  There will be lots of emotions for a long time.  Our hearts are bleeding for you.

I feel terrible about what happen, even though I didn’t know any of the victims nor do I know any of the students and staff that attend VT. I hope that nothing like this nor even similar happens again and that God watches over all of us because only he knows why things happen. I feel sadness in my soul about the the victims because they had dreams they had life in front of them no one has the right to destroy those dreams and end the life of innoccent people. You are all in my prayers may God belless you all.

A Kentucky native now living in Nashville, all the families, students, and faculty of the university have been in my thoughts and attention since the tragedy occurred. The entire nation is Hokie Nation right now. Life is often hard, casting shadows that disrupt and discourage. But in these times, we must look toward the light that is casting those shadows, and know there is a better place. Gold bless you all.

Grief cannot be expressed through words but rather the gentle tear that flows to the ground. May you find the strength to shed all the grief needed to pull ahead into the future. For you are all Virginia Tech, may the world see you for your strength and not your loss.

We, at the University of Indianapolis Athens Campus - administration, staff and faculty - extend our deepest and most sincere thoughts and sadness to everyone at the Virgina Tech.
We were shocked and horrified with this tragedy and our hearts go, also, to the families of those lost and have to live for the rest of their lives with pain, sadness, anguish and, we might say, disgust.

No words can adequately express my sorrow for all the beautiful souls who were tragically taken so suddenly April 16, 2007.  As the mother of a college student who tragically died 2 years ago, I feel your pain and I can only offer this: remember your loved ones for the lives they led and remember them with a smile in your heart.  The pain will never go away but it will fade and be replaced with beautiful memories of your loved ones.  I will continue to include you in my prayers every day and we will all rejoice one day when we will once again be reunitd with our children.  God bless each and every one of you.

Dear All Va. Tech Personnel(Students, Professors, Univ. Officers, Campus Police Dept. & of course Families of all fatally injured & wounded). As parents of a Va. Tech Alumnus, the past 3 days have been among the sadest of our lives. The sad, terrible & surreal events have temporarily broken our hearts. However, after viewing the students intervied on the TV(we are currently out of the country & in France), and listening to their descripion of the events; it just reinforced our extremely high opinion of just what it means to be a “HOKIE”! The strength, class & fortitude that they have exhibited on TV, justifyibly make us proud to be so far away, yet very close to them, if only in our hearts, thoughts & prayers. God grant everyone associated with Virgina Tech the ability & strength to weather this terrible tragady, as we know he will!! Our Heartfelt Condolences, Willam & Sheila McGeehan

As a 1985 Va. Tech alumni, our family is deeply saddened by the events of Monday. My memories of Va. Tech are very happy ones and there are days I would like to go back in time to re-live it! However, I hope and pray that those attending Va. Tech now will try to focus on the happy memories rather than the tragedy. It has brought the Hokie family closer together now more than ever and there are millions of prayers going out for you all. God bless you all ... you make us proud. Go Hokies!

To the the students, faculty and staff, and families who are mourning:

I know that words can not take away pain, but perhaps soften, if just for a while.

So, I hope these words soften your pain in this time of sorrow and loss.

Remember…

When your tears come, close your eyes, see their smile.

When your heart aches, close your eyes, hear their laughter.

When the anger enters, close your eyes, feel their love and friendship.

When you ask why, close your eyes and say, I will remember you, the life, not the death.

And when you walk through life in the weeks, months and years to come, walk with their smile, their laughter, and their love inside of you.

Remember.

God Bless Virgia Tech

To the Hokie Nation,

I mourn for all of the victims, their families, their friends, their teachers, and everyone that has been affected by this tragedy.  I’ve been to Virginia Tech for a couple of football games, and I know what a great place Blacksburg and the university is.  Things like this shouldn’t happen, but we must grab hold of courage, strength, and hope to endure the challenges of healing that lie ahead.  I’m a graduate of NC State, and I’d like to leave you this quote from our deceased head basketball coach, Jim Valvano.

“Don’t give up. Don’t ever give up.”

Time will heal, and the Hokie Nation will rise again.

I come from a country where snow or wind is
our daily neighbour. I come from a family that values knowledge, hard work and integrity like the rushing waters that crosses our land.My eyes and my hearth bleed for all those ravished, one too much.I hate guns.My father had seventeen hold-ups and even though a bullet never transperced his body, it killed him. He died young from the coldness of the weapon that left a trace around him. Jocelyne Forget-Ste-Thérèse, Québec, Canada

The day is done, the April sun,
is setting in the sky.
Our hearts they ache, for their sad fate,
and the loved ones left behind.
Let god guide you through,

And lead you through your lonliest hours.

At the rising of the sun and at its going down,
We remember them.

At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of Winter, We remember them.

At the opening of buds and in the rebirth of Spring,
We remember them.

At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of Summer,
We remember them.

At the rustling of leaves and the beauty of Autumn,
We remember them.

At the beginning of the year and when it ends,
We remember them.

As long as we live, they too will live;
for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.

When we are weary and in need of strength,
We remember them.

When we are lost and sick at heart,
We remember them.

When we have joys we yearn to share,
We remember them.

When we have decisions that are difficult to make,
We remember them

When we have achievements that are based on theirs,
We remember them.

As long as we live, they too shall live,
for they are a part of us, as we remember them.

Such a sad week this is. My heart is weak and heavy for this tradgedy was the worst I have seen in my life. I may live across the pond but I’m American and I did live in the United States for School. The school system was very strong in all of the schools I went to, including college. Which is why I’m shocked such an event could happen.

The outpour of grief is touching. I ask for people to keep up the spirit of these valiant students!

Much love and god bless!
