Such an unconceivable act has thrust all the students, at VT and worldwide, into a horrific experience. Let us learn again the preciousness and fragility of life and may our compassion and kindness for one another be a living tribute to the memory of the love ones we have lost.
With our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences.

Dear Virginia Tech Community,

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends of those who lost loved ones. I know that even this tragedy can bring Glory to God. I hope we can all take this time to remember how short life is and how soon those you love so much can be gone. Also, I hope this will encourage people to reach out to those who show severe signs of mental illness or other symptoms such as those exibhited by the shooter. If we can reach those people, maybe we can stop these senseless events from occurring. We have to be willing to step out of our comfort zone to reach those lost souls so more innocents are not lost to such tragedy. My heart goes out to you all.

May the Lord send angels, guide you on your way.
May his love surround you day by day.
May the Lord send angels, save you from the night, wrap his arms around you, hold you tight.
