There’s nothing anyone can say to possibly begin to make sense of the horrible, awful actions of one monster.  The whole country, and the world, is hurting with you, for you.  Honor the memories of all the victims by moving forward and achieving all that they will never be able to.  Love and care for each other during this sad time.  God bless you.

April 18, 2007, 7:52am • Bayreuth, Germany • #8852

As a parent of a Virginia Tech graduating senior, I could only imagine the deep sense of loss and anger that the families of the victims of this horrific massacre are trying to deal with.  I was frantic when I received the call from my daughter about what happened and she wanted to try and find her brother to make sure he was safe. I called and called and called until I was able to locate my son.

A poem written by Mary Stevenson entitle “Footprints in the Sand” comes to mind. It speaks about the low periods in life, suffering from anguish, sorrow, defeat and only seeing one set of footprints. The author wrote “Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?  The Lord replied, ‘The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand, is when I carried you.’”

Here in St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands we have lots and lots of sunshine. There is a spiritual song that says in part “A sunbeam, as sunbeam, Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.....” Yes your loved ones are shining down, giving us light, and letting us know that they are in a happy place.  The sun representing the brightness of their new homes.

Our prayers are with you today and always.

My deepest sympathies to the families, friends, fellow students and faculty. Let this trajedy not be in vain. Through this difficult time, we all need to reach out to those in need to offer support and kind words. Please, take a moment to reflect on someone you could help today, tomorrow, and every day forward. Through kindness and support we can help each other.

May God bless you all and watch over each of you during this difficult time.

People who died weren´t in the wrong place as said Mr. Bush. Just the killer were in the wrong place. I´m shocked. I just imagine that my children, who next year will attend an USA university, were there, and realize the pain you are feeling.

As I sit in my apt. on my street in Houston, TX I cry with each one of you.  Although we may never meet, I pray sincerely for each of you.  My heart is deeply distrubed by such senseless actions but to see you all finding strength in each other gives me hope for our future, your future.  It is through the love you share with each other, that the world shares with you that our Lord is glorified in the midst of such tradegy.  For every individual and their families at your campus I pray that the Lord grant His peace unto each of you, a peace none of us can give.  John 14:21

this is a beastly act that should be condemmed thorougly. It was not the matter of political social and culture implications. It wasthe result of a madman who had no respects for the lives of others and their will to live and now this is all gone.to kill oneself is even more cowardly. It takes the rsponsibility of his own action.Beacuse he decided to live by the sword,he will die by the sword and the punishment of the sword is painful and everasting
rest in peace

My sincere condolence to the victims, their families and their friends. I cannot find any words to exactly describe such sudden and grievous tragedy.
Life does have the strongest power to conquer all difficulties. Why didn’t the gunman recognize that?
May violence go far away from campus.

Pain

Somewhere…
Someone has died
Someone has lied to his wife
Someone has lost his job
Someone was killed by the mob
Someone lost his possessions
Someone was killed by his obsessions
Someone has suicided
Someone was misguided
Someone lost his child in a divorce
Someone went off the trekking course
Someone has lost all hope
Someone can’t try to cope
Someone has lost their pride
Someone has lost their bride
Someone has lost their support
Someone innocent has lost in court
Someone has no money to live
Someone has no strength to give
Someone can never see the light
Someone can’t get through the night
Someone is in need
Someone needs to be freed
Someone has gone insane

...Somewhere someone is in pain

I’m so sorry for you all and I hope you will get over it one day..I’m crying and praying for you all.
