Dear Virginia Tech Family,

I grew up in my beloved Blacksburg, Virginia. My father was a professor at Virginia Tech for 33 years. Virginia Tech was my playground as it was for all my high school classmates.

It was in the shadow of Virginia Tech that I moved forward to achieve my Ph.D.

It was with dumbfounding shock that I watched from the safety of my home ,in front of the TV, what unfolded on my beloved campus and in my hometown.

Please accept my deepest sorrow to you all,
those that had to live through this collective horror. Our deepest sorrow is with you. We yearn to reach out and help you. We are so sorry that you, a loved one,a friend or a friend of a friend you know is no longer with us.

Find your friends and loved ones to talk out all your thoughts and feelings. Find your love ones to hug you and hold you close. Find your way back to love and laugh sometime soon.

Your Virginia Tech family all over the world loves you and wrap you up in our thoughts and prayers.

The world weeps for you and with you.

We are so sorry.

To the Tech Community,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. No one can ever expect a tragedy like this to happen, and it’s a sad and horryifying that it happened to such a wonderful place. As a college student myself I can understand how hard it is to lose other fellow students, as I have been in your same shoes on the loss of one of my classmates. I pray that the community will make it through and I send all my love and thoughts to the families of the victims. I will be in full Orange on Friday to support HOKIE HOPE DAY.

It is sometimes so difficult to make sense of tragedy. We ask, why? The answers to our questions are not so easily answered, and there are many times we are left to just wonder in astonishment. It truly is a sad moment for VT. The VT family has the support, love, and prayers of the world. We will stand silently in reflection, and prayer for your peace and comfort. We will stand beside you to offer our shoulders as a post that you can lean on should you need a little extra support and strength. Stand firm and stare this tragedy in the eye. Do not allow it to define you. As a whole you are greater then the weight of your pain.

I am saddened by the loss of 33 people in a incident that is much like several that has happened. We never really understand why things like this happen or what triggers someone to do something as horrid as this. There are true heros that have come out of this like the professor who lost his life to save those of his students. The staff, families, students and others impacted by this are in my prayers.May God take care of you and give you a peace that passes all understanding.

Nobody has the right to take the life of the other, whatever its reasons.
The hole will remain for ever gaping in hearts, in campus, in Virginia Tech’s corridors…
And in front of so many innocent persons killed, to survive becomes like a trahsion. but the life and the hope must to continue to feed souls.
Let God supports you and consoles you

To All:

My sincere condolences to each and every one of you. My heart is saddened by this senseless act of rage/hatred. I hope you find comfort in the memories of those that were taken from us too soon. For those that are still recovering, let’s pray for a speedy recovery. We, as people, need to help each other through this horrible time. Let’s not be consumed by who “HE” was and give him his moment in the spotlight, let’s focus on who was lost and how to support and help each other. He, who angers you, controls you.....Take back control! May each of you find comfort within. GOD BLESS and take care,
Kells ;)
