A special message from Australia.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the suffering families of the innocent lives that were taken away so horrifically.

To those who remain, as history has shown us so many times before, life can be taken away so easily so we MUST try to live and breathe every moment of every day and always tell the people that matter to us that we love them.

I am so proud of the demeanor of the students during this awful time. I am also sad that the deceased will not have been able to finish their goals in life. I think it would be great for the surviving families if the University were to bestow Honorary degrees for each victim to their families this Graduation. Thanks M

What has happened to the Virginia Tech Community is incomprehensible to you and to the entire nation.  Questions where there are no answers because the source of the tragedy has taken the coward’s way out.  I pray for the families and friends of the students and professors who died, some while protecting others.  While I cannot presume to understand your grief, I do hurt for you.  God Bless You and May He Help Share Your Burden of pain.  Sincerely, Geri Martorano.

I share the sorrow of the parents of those who were taken so soon and so unnecessarily.I have been there myself having lost a son nine years ago.The hole in my heart will be there forever.Time will help,as they say,to some degree.I was told by someone that I should write to my son which I did every day. They were conversations about our family, events of our daily lives. As I was writing I could see him,his beautiful blue eyes and his great smile. It was/is a tremendous help to me.My prayers to all those parents and families.

I am a freshman in Media and Communication at the University of Central England in Birmingham, United Kingdom and have been following the unfortunate incident on your campus through the local and international media. I would like express my deepest sympathy to those who lost friends, relatives and love ones in this dreadful incident and pray that the almighty God consoles all of you during your times of bereavement. Don’t look for me at Norris
nor at Ambler Johnson Hall
For I have been invited
to the highest place of all

I will not be in class today
You won’t see me in the hall
It will take some time, I guess
to get used to it all

I did not get to say goodbye
and now I can not call
There are no cell phone towers here
No, no signal at all

Please don’t be so sad, you see
I heard the Shepherd call
I had to go, he asked for me
He was waiting in the hall

If you knew the peace I felt
I’m sure you wouldn’t blame me
At his feet I went and knelt
and let his love sustain me

To all of the grieving families our deepest condolences.  We are friends of the family of Maxine Turner, who was to have graduated next month.  Maxine is from the closest, most loving family one could imagine, all of whom were so proud of her accomplishments, and looking forward to her promising future.  I don’t know how they can bear up against this tragedy.  We hope and pray that they may come to find peace, and some comfort in knowing that for the brief time they had together they gave one another all the love possible to give.
