There are no words to help ease the pain of loosing someone you love but please know you are not alone. This was such a terrible tragedy and I cannot understand why such a thing would happen but unfortunately it did and now we all have to pray for strength to get through this and remember your loved one that had passed is always in your heart and that’s something that nobody can take away from you.
I am thinking of all the families and everyone at Virginia Tech. My prayer’s are with you.

May I join the many people around the world whose hearts go out to all those souls touched by this tragedy. May the Light of Love, Healing and Peace - symbolised so movingly by the Vigil on 17th April - prevail over any hatred, condemnation or prejudice.

I’m an adopted Korean American Virginia Tech Alumni who graduated in 1994. I feel deep sorrow for those who lost their lives from a person who had mental illness. I know that the media is focusing closely about the “South Korean who had a green card”. And I feel like I need start a grassroot Internet support group who will come together and help those in need. This includes the families/friends who suffer such a terrible event, people across the world who have mental illness, the misconception of a race and religion based on one single event, and policies that all universities must take whenever there is any type of event that creates confusion and death. Please let’s stop the rehetric and help those in need in a positive and peaceful movement. I know a foundation who can help this cause, please send an email with support and even some money so they can help lead in protecting our children. The organzation is charleslafitte. Thank you and God bless.

In every dark cloud there must exist a speck of good.

Despite being very far away from this horrific crime, I fell and like all Egyptians here very close to the VT community and all of America in their grieve and sorrow. There can be no justification ever for the loss of innocent life. May Allah (God) protect you and make you stronger thru this ordeal.

I don’t understand why things like this keep happening in America. I believe in the right to freedom. Honestly, someone has to realise that guns for everyone is a very bad decision. My heart goes out to you Virginia Tech. The person who committed these crimes was disturbed, but perhaps the only death would have been himself if it weren’t for the easy access to guns.

I am an American living in Tassie, AU. A massacre happened here in 1996, where 35 people, including small children, were gun downed by a maniac. After that, Australia changed it’s gun laws. USA, learn a lesson from your friends.

For everyone at Virginia Tech: You will heal

AS YOU MOURN, THE WORLD MOURNS WITH YOU.
“We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.”
ONE DAY WE SHALL ALL BE TOGETHER AGAIN. YOU ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

I am shocked, stunned… How is this possible?!? It makes me angry that things like this can happen, anywhere in the world… I know it is not fair to say right now, but of course it had to happen (again) in America… May your country one day be a peaceful one…

My thoughts go out to the victims and their families… I can never imagine what you must be going through right now.. Still, know that the whole world is sharing your thoughts..

May every tear that has been shed that faithful day, bring back twice the joy in the future.

Attending Virginia Tech in the 80’s, I always thought it was the most beautiful place on earth. I rarely get back to Tech; attending a football game last fall in Lane Stadium was a real treat for me, my husband (ACCTING ‘80) and our two sons. But I am still a Hokie. And my Hokie heart is breaking - for the lives lost, the injured, the students and the Virginia Tech community that stretches around the world. I wish you peace and healing and look for a time when the university is not defined by this, but again by all the wonderful things that make Virginia Tech so great.
