My comments about the occurrence of the heinous crime on Virginia tech: I was watching news Monday night and today (Wednesday) and I cried and I cried...i cried for the people that work their butts off in University and would never get the chance to graduate;i cried for the parents and families of the victims’ who’ve lost their children/family members due to this heinous crime.Even now i can not stop crying...all the way in Canada this has deeply affected me to hear about this brutality occurring across our borders..to students like me..see I currently attend university in Canada...and it is with deep sympathy embedded in me that i would like to say...God bless the families of the all the victims...and God bless the victims...they never deserves this ghastly fate..i hope that this does not repeat itself...i hope that this shines some lights on the things in this world that must be fixed because WE CAN NOT AFFORD TO HAVE ANOTHER MASSACRE HAPPENING TO INNOCENT PEOPLE...it’s unfair...:( the world is too beautiful a place for some human beings to be staining it with their blood stained hands!!

I was horrified to hear of the tragedy that occurred on Monday.
Nothing that can be said or done will ease the pain, the anger, the confusion or the loss.
My thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims, the family of Cho Seung-Hui (as they, too, are innocent) and the survivors.
My prayers are with everyone and I am so very sorry for your loss.
The world has lost some beautiful and talented creatures.

Love and best wishes.

shame on Cho Seung-Hui,what is his motive.i cant believe this is happening to Vt at all.Y can’t US barred people from having weapons. If not, impose a law that requires a person to have a federal licence proving that he is properly trained and the main reason of having weapons as his belonging.GEORGE BUSH,u let me down.hope when u read this comments,u will restructure the law.SHAME ON Cho Seung-Hui.

April 18, 2007, 5:03am • VT student • #7105

Again, to Virginia Tech staff, students, and families of the victims:

Although my words regarding the attacker of the school was rather harsh, I do want to apologize to the family of Cho Seung-Hui.  We must not forget that this family has lost someone that they loved also.

This family is probably trying to put the pieces of this puzzle together and try to understand why this man would do such a thing as to claim 32 innocent lives and then claim his own.  I can only pray that God gives you the answers that you need and gives you peace and comfort.  I ask God to give peace and comfort to all those who were directly affected by this terrible tragedy.

From my previous posting, please remember that God is in control.  And I apologize for my harshness and indifference to the family of Cho Seung-Hui.

May God bless you all.

I can’t imagine how the rest of the campus and their families must feel every day from this day on. I get angry when I think that you didn’t lose only 32 lives but the ones who got injured will keep suffering since they have to keep living and carrying the weight of what happened. I get angry that among with these people the world might have lost a future invention, a groundbreaking thought, a person who might have made a change… All of Finland is thinking of you and we are hoping that the media frenzy would back off and leave these people and their families alone so they could start gathering the pieces of their lives back together..

A special condoleance to the family of Liviu Lebrescu, coming from a fellow Romanian. Two days ago, I heard of the tragic incident at Virginia Tech and was unpleaseantly surprised.  I got in contact with my American friends to check that they - and their friends and family - had not been directly involved in the shootings.  Thankfully, none had been.

Recently, students in my year in the UK have been asked to make choices that could potentially affect our future careers - choosing our subjects for GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education - a two year course combining coursework and exam, taken by students at the age of 16) and considering possible colleges and unis.  The thought of uni in America has long appealed to me - an idea I’ve happily spoken of - and to thing this tragedy could’ve unfolded in an American uni is both shocking and disturbing.

I’ve followed this surreal story closely on the BBC News website, and would like to say here that my thoughts and prayers are with all those attending Virgina Tech and the surrounding communities.  I pray that all will get through this.  God bless. x

by Michael Josephson

Ready or not some day it will all come to an end.

There will be no more sunrises no minutes hours or days.
All the things you collected whether treasured or forgotten will pass to someone else.

Your wealth fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.
Your grudges resentments frustrations
and jealousies will finally disappear.
So to your hopes ambitions plans and to do lists will expire.
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.

It wont matter where you came from
or what side of the tracks you lived on at the end.
It wont matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant.
Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.

So what will matter
How will the value of your days be measured

What will matter is not what you bought
but what you built not what you got but what you gave.

What will matter is not your success
but your significance.

What will matter is not what you learned
but what you taught.

This terrible tragedy reached every man and woman across the entire earth, saddening each and every one of us.  It is impossible not to share the grief and sadness and shedding tears of knowing what pain and sorrow you must endure.

Do remember that each young man’s and woman’s life does not have boundaries but only opportunities that with encouragement, perseverance, dignity, kindness and grace of God each dream will be fulfilled that was meant to be and continue to reach for the stars.

None of us will forget this horrific day and from this we come to realise how precious each day, life, friendship, love and prayer is.  We will remember not only those that we lost along our life’s path but especially those that comforted us in our time of deepest despair.

New and for life lasting friendships will come from this terrible moment and you will in time realise that you have become a more caring man or woman. Some will change their course of studies and will want to change the world making it a better place and that each of you I know will.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
