Shock and disgust at the actions upon the next generation of Americans who were striving to become future leaders.Sadness and despair for the parents who brought them up with pride.  Hope that some good might eventually come out of the whole matter, and that the cult of solving problems with a gun can be shown to be entirely negative.  My heart goes out to all who have been affected.
I would proudly wear a V-Tech sweat shirt, and suggest that an international support group could market the shirts, with all profit going to a special fund for an appropriate memorial.

Each life that touches ours for good
Reflects thine own great mercy Lord
Thou sendest blessings from above
Thru words and deeds of those who love

When such a friend from us departs
We hold forever in our hearts
A sweet and hallowed memory
Bringing us nearer Lord to thee

Our Love goes out to you all.

To all Virginia Tech Students,

My heart is open and my prayers are with each and
every one of you.  I have a special poem that
helps me when I am faced with my own personal
experiences.  It gives me a sense of strength and
hope for a better day.  With this poem, I pray
that it helps with the crisis you are facing.

BELIEVE IN TOMORROW

Every day you’re moving forward, all decisions
past are done.  All your choices lie before you,
new directions are begun.  All your errors will
not vanish and all regrets won’t be erased.
Life is lived but once and sadly it can never be
retraced.  You can try to live it better, you can
learn from your mistakes.  You can build a better
tomorrow, even if the past still aches.

God bless you all,
Tayrina Aguilar

I was born in Radford and grew up in there and was in utter shock and disbelief that this could happen in my community.  I lived in Radford for 26 years and in Blacksburg for two years.

I cannot begin to convey my grief, horror, and sorrow that this happened.  All of my childhood memories are tied up with Radford and Blacksburg and that sense of child-like safety that I felt surrounded the NRV was wrenched away on Monday.

I am with you in my heart, in my thoughts, and in my prayers.

We are so very shocked to hear of the tragedy that has befallen your university. Please accept our sincere condolences and sorrow as there can be nothing worse that losing one’s youth. You are in our prayers.

We reside in South Africa where we experience + 50 brutal murders every day of the year. As a traumatized nation we realise that your students and their families will require extensive counselling and a lot of help in the day’s to come.

May GOD be with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with all the facaulty and students.  Also, I hope you know the nation is morning with you and for the majority of colleges you are not being portayed in a negative light. One horric act by one individual does not represent all the wonderful and exceptional individuals their at Virgina Tech University. Keep the faith.

"When David heard that Absalom was slain, he went up into his chamber and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son!” 2 Samuel 18:33

“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

And so we know that for ages man has wept. For ages man has mourned.  And thus do we today, and thus we shall for ages to come.

May those passed rest in Eternal Peace.  And to those spared, you have the greatest nation on the Earth behind you in support and prayer.

May the Lord bless you and keep you all.  May you find grace, peace, and comfort in your God.

There is truly nothing worse then losing a family member through a violent act.  So young, regardless of age, because it just wasn’t their time.  If I could just offer one bit of unsolicited advice:  Tragedy often times pulls people apart (those that are most intimate).  When one recognizes that each person grieves differently and accepts that fact it is much easier to give each individual the space they need to grieve purely.  Each person’s heart breaks, each person cries in their own timing, each person hurts like never before.  May your pain slow and may you go on to manifest the joy, happiness and love of each victim and show the world how happy they’d be.  It’s what THEY want.  Write your memories NOW so you’ll be sure to never forget the little details.  Remember, never let ANYONE rob you of YOUR joy.  He’s already robbed you of someone that means so much to you...don’t let him rob you of ANYTHING else.  Live… to… LOVE!  Forever here for you in thought and prayer, Doreen

Dear Students,
I have been glued to the TV since this horrible attack and have cried with you and often times just shake my head in disbelief.
I am so sorry that at such a young age you have to go through something of this magnitude but I must tell you all, I sit in awe of your dignity and love and spirit through out this ordeal.  I am so proud of what you all stand for.  The dignity and love and sense of spirit you all have.  I marvel at your maturity and how you have all banded together as a community.
I am sure that this is not what this sad, sick, young man had intended to be the out come of his horrible actions.
They say we should worry that the youth of this country will be taking over one day.  I say, because of what you have all demonstrated these past few days that if this is the youth of America..Bravo and I am confident this country and the world will be a better place in years to come.
I hope to come to see your campus one day, not to see or relive the horrors that have incurred but to get to feel the love and sense of community you have so brillantly displayed during this time of tragady and saddness.
May God bless you all, and I am proud to be an American.

With love,
Barbara Georgakis

To all students, faculty, staff, families, and friends I wish to express my deepest condolences to all of you wheather you were there during this horrific act or in another building or dorm. I can not say with honesty I know exactly what your going through but what I can say is that my prayers are will all of you from this day forward. I to am a college student and when the news broke I didn’t want to go to class, i was honestly scared to leave my house- so I have stayed in since this senless act happened and just watch the news unfold and pray and cry and with all of you wonder why. Although I don’t know any of you personally I almost feel as if I do. I wanted so bad to fly there just to be there and show support. As time passes it will get easier but dont force it, it will happen on its own. You all have showed how brave you are and how close you are as a community, a college, and strangers. May god be with all of you your friends family teachers and whom ever else may have been affected by this horrific devistating senseless act of violence. Heather Hurley
