Dear ones:
Words do not adequately express what is going on in the hearts of people across this country from the VT Tragedy. Those of us from South East MO are very saddened by these events. We have a small communtiy college here, with a college dorm just added a year ago. Just know that many across this country have you in their hearts, thoughts, and prayers. God is good no matter the circumstance.

To the parents, wives, husbands, children, extended family and friends that were affected by Monday’s horrible events I extend my deepest sympathy to you...my heart breaks for you all.

I am a student as well that tragically lost a loved one too soon.....so I wanted to tell you all to be strong but grieve as long as you need. Do not let anyone...expert, the media, anyone tell you how to grieve. Just keep God close and get through this however you can and remember to be gentle with yourselves.

We are all praying for you and grieving with you in Michigan. Please know that God is with both you and the loved ones you lost. God Bless each and every one of you!

It is sad that so many lives, those that were useful to humanity and those who were growing up to be useful, should be taken away from our midst in such a manner.May their souls rest in peace.
Let us,at this moment of tragedy, also ponder as to why this is happening so often and try to promote the need to educate each one of us, to first respect an individual and then the community as a whole. That is the way ahead for a caring and a loving world.

Dear brothers and sisters.

The 16th of april 2007 was for our familie a day of rememberence for the loss of 5 members from our familie , they also died by means of firearms.
So when I came home the 16th and turned on the television i couldn’t believe my eyes.
This tragedy that happened in your community is heart wrecking.
And I hope that God will provide all his love and support for family , there community ,friends and all who are involved.
Also I hope that one day we all may live in the peace of the all mighty and that tragedies like these in your community or in my family may be things of the past and that from then peace in the world and peace in our hearts will overcome all evil.
May God bless you and comfort you in your moments of grieve and loss.
I pray that one day we can live without pain.
And I hope that from this day we will stand tall together to bring out life and light into the world.

I want to share a prayer which gave me power.

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be ever at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rain fall softly on your fields
And until we meet again, May God hold
you in the hollow of his hand.

With deepest sympathy,

I’m sad and confused to hear and see that an Individual will cut short the hopes of thousands in a twinkle of an eye due to his own personal problems.

I’m African refused entry into the US in 2003 at Minneapolis Inter. airport for no reasons and today, I see this and think to imagine why the Good people are refused entry while they allow killers to enter. When next they want to refuse entry to the US for foreigners they’ll think twice.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord of Virginai Tech, do accept my greatest sympathy, America has ever been a Country I cherish but with terrifying stories like the Black Monday make me have doubts of security in that Country each time I turn my telly on.

Please stay put, its bitter and difficult to forget, but do remember you came to Virginia Tech for a particular goal ‘education’, its not a permanent Home for you. Please read your books and Pray for the Perfect peace of your lost schoolmates and Lecturers, I mourn with you right here at the foot of Mount Cameroon.

God be with you all at this difficult Moment.
AMEN.
Elsie.

Dear Hokies,

I am heartbroken by these tragic events that have befallen the Virginia Tech community and I feel a very deep sense of grief for those families who have lost loved ones.  This was an undeserved assault of the worse kind imaginable on people who wanted nothing more than to make their lives better for themselves and their families.  The world has not been made better by this loss.  I pray for healing and what comfort you may find in this time of need.

Love, Sophia Angelis

I am saddened to hear about the tragedy that has fallen one of our great institutions of this country. Mere words alone cannot console those who have suffered this tragic event. Remember those that perished and all the good that they left behind. Only you, their friends and family, can keep their legacy going strong.

I’m a teaching assistant at the college of Engineering, Kuwait University. My heart is choking with grief for all the victims.
To imagine something like this happening to any of my professors or students is just horrifying. What makes it even harder is that it happened “on-campus”, which is to us (the safest place on earth.)
My deepest condolences go to the victims’ families. Your loved ones will always be remembered.
To VT people: what can I say except that I do feel for you. I’m really sad, but I’m sure that you will go on.

I felt sorrow over the tragedy. I haven’t witnessed the incident, but my mind is filled with the tragic scenes, and many question marks. Just can’t imagine how a terrible incident would happen in an energetic and peaceful campus. Universities and schools are supposed to be safe...... Hope those who lost their lives can live in peace! Hope those who were injured(physically and emotionally) will recover soon!

Having been part of the student community in the US I am deeply saddened by the unnecessary loss of innocent lives. Students and faculty go to an univeristy campus to build a good career, not to die. I share my deepest sorrows with the Virginia Tech community and the family members of those who have laid down their lives facing an assassin’s bullets. May the souls of the departed rest in peace.
