I man who believe in god and i know all of the families are sad and i know your doughters and sons are in heaven right now.

These poems cover a wide range of emotions, from grief to regret to love and joy. In many instances, the only thing they have in common is that each is about the loss of someone loved to the grim specter of Death.

Death is a part of Life. No one escapes its clutches, and no one long escape the harsh reality of dealing with the loss of someone dear.

God bless you

I wish I could say something profound and uplifting but the words escape me. Please know that my thoughts and prayers and tears are with you. As a college graduate, I cannot even imagine the horror… As a mother, this tragedy is beyond a parents worst fear.

Specifically to the administration and faculty I would like to say thank you for everything you have done from the onset and for what you continue to do.

May God comfort all of you and give you strength and peace.

It’s unbelievable to me what happened.  My college shares so many similarities to VT, I can’t help but think how easily it could have been our campus.  It’s such a scary thought to think that it could have happened anywhere, to anyone of us...how can such a tragedy not affect us all?  Though it seems so easy to place blame, there’s no way to make sense out of something senseless.  I chose not to concentrate on the coward, instead I chose to learn about those who’s lives were taken and celebrate them.  My heart aches for all those that have lost and, like so many others, you are in my thoughts and prayers.  May peace find you all.  From Anna, a student at University of Texas at Arlington.

My heart is heavy for the victims, their families and the students at VT. I want you all to know that many Canadian students and families have you all in our prayers and hope that the media will focus on the students and faculty that lost their lives instead of the shooter.

I just wanted to express my condolences. You are not alone, we are all suffering together and we’ll be healing together. Indiana University of South Bend held a Candel Light Vigil in memory of the 32 victims. You have all of our support and you are in our thoughts
