I am deeply sorry for your lost and all the pain you’ve been and will continue going through. I wish you all the best. I god is watching over you and he’ll help you deal with this the best way possible. This is an crazy thing for anyone to have to deal with. I am a student and Penn State University and during our Blue and White game this weekend we’ll be thinking of each and every Hokie. Instead of our normal blue and white we’ll be wearing Orange and Maroon. We love you. Remember god is watching over you.

I cried when I lost my 20 year old son at the hands of a drunk driver in 2000. I cried again when I watched those towers fall, and thought of the many parents that lost another child in 2001.

I cry with you now and pray for those that are gone and the damaged families that are left behind. When your child meets my chad, he will comfort them.
God Bless

Be strong in the face of despair, be compassionate in the face of tragedy. Let tears flow not only in mourning but let them flow remembering the good times and memories of each of the Hokie Angels and their lives will continue forever.

I got angry today when someone made an offhand comment about what took place at VTech. I couldn’t understand how someone could say something so thoughtless. Parents send their kids to college so they can be given a chance at a better life then what they had. Many put in thousands of dollars in loans just to see their babies excel and in an instant everyone’s dream was broken. I’m a college student and I cant even begin to imagine what the victim’s families must be going through. I’m so sorry for everyone’s loss. They were innocent and beautiful in their individual ways. To the professors who stood by their students I only hope their compassion for teaching will not be forgotten. All my love to Virginia Tech.

To all my fellow Hokies and their families I express my deepest sympathy for you.  The amount of support and outreach from people all over the world is incredible.  I am currently studying abroad in Melbourne, Australia, and I have felt the support from people on the other side of the world and it’s truly amazing to see.  WE ARE VIRGINIA TECH.

We pray for those whose lives were stolen by such an evil monster and those injured in mind and body. The pain of the families and friends of those taken in this latest tradgedy for our country is beyond comprehension. To the faculty and students at Virginia Tech your greatest strength that God has put in your lives is each other. In the hours and days to come hug a little more, love a little more and help each other to heal.Never forget your loved ones and cherish the one thing noone can take away from you which is the memories you have in your hearts and minds of those you now miss with heavy hearts. God bless you all.

To all family, friends and staff at Virginia Tech, I am sorry to hear about this tragic event. It was something that should have never happened and I believe this man had major problems. There is no reason he needed to make innocent people suffer because of his illness. It really made me sick to my stomach when I seen these victims myspace profiles and how they were happy young adults, talking with their friends only a day before this tragic event. It makes me want to cry knowing people have to suffer because of someone so sick. Im sorry to all and hope god will lead you through this. I could not imagine what you could be going through. Sorry!

The only thing I find wrong is they way the alert was handled. I think a mass email was not the best way to go. Now adays things are worse then before and if something happens like this, the extreme should be looked at. I do believe even though the school was so big, there should have been a complete lockdown of the whole school. I hope there are some new tactics looked at to help the alert system. Sorry again.

I just wanted to express my disbelief and sadness about the Virginia Tech tragedy. I am so thankful that many more students weren’t hurt. I hope and pray that the families, friends and students of that campus will receive the much needed comfort from the Lord.My prayer would be that people will be able to forgive this young man for the atrocities he committed. No one, no matter how hard they try, can understand his state-of-mind and reasoning for the killings. I am more confused than angry about those things that took place on that dreadful day. I am more sad that this young man felt that the only way to rid himself of the anguish he was going through, was to take his life along with many others. I know that there is ALWAYS help out there for anyone who feels that they don’t deserve to live. I would also pray that the youth of this country will realize that they are capable of so many good things, that they can love and be loved, that they are precious and worth more than they can ever imagine. I am immensely comforted in knowing that. God bless all those affected by this tragic event. I know that we can come out of this time of sorrow and grief, stronger and more united.

We wish we could take back what has happened so it didn’t, but what we can do is take forward what has not, so it won’t.

To all the victims, families and community members of Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, and the extended Hokie Nation,

No one can feel what you feel, no one can say exactly what you need to hear, and no one can take away your pain. However, please know that people all across this country and world are praying for you and asking the Lord to comfort you in the days to come. Our family is also praying for you, and we know that you will continue to inspire the world by your strength, courage, and ability to face this devastating tragedy with amazing grace!  You will rise from the ashes and be the reflections of the wonderful people whose lives were cut too short. Take what each of those victims stood for and pay it forward!  Let that become the Hokie’s legacy.

God Bless you and keep you!

TO THE VIRGINIA TECH FAMILIES,STAFF AND STUDENTS:

Our prayers are with all of you as we mourn for the tragic loss of precious lives.  Having a daughter in Radford University I know the concern of each parent and the worry that your child is safe in a place where you allowed them to grow to become the future of America, to become anything their goals and dreams would allow them.
Our hope is God Himself.  He has promised to walk beside us no matter what difficulties we face here on earth-and to bring us home to heaven to live with him for eternity. Because we know our ultimate destination, because we’re forcusing on heaven, we can face the treacherous stretches of our lives’ pathways with courage and strength.
God will give us the strength we all need to go forward.

With a blink of an eye precious lives were taken away,
Leaving everyone speechless with nothing to say.
Let them rest in peace for they are watching us from up above,
Soaring over us like peaceful doves.

For we must remember the lives they lead,
And all the laughter and jokes they would have said.
Let us smile and rejoice the time they have spent,
For the last thing they would want is to see us all torn apart and bent.

It was their time to join heaven up above,
Because of their kindess, care and love.
We will always keep them in our hearts and in our minds,
For they will never be forgotten by this nation.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, their families and their friends. May they rest in peace and watch over the members in need of their comfort.
