I have no words to express my condolences for the terrible event. I remember Liviu Librescu when I was at VPI in 1990 as one of the best, more clever and always ready to help every student that I knew in my life. My full condolences to his wife, his family, his Department and his University.

I must offer my sincerest condolences and I will have everyone in my prayers and I would like to send you a poem that I have written.  I wrote it about two years ago and you have proven that no one has forgotten we the people for the people.  I applaud the students, staff, faculty, professors, teachers, law enforcement, emt’s, doctors, nurses, everyone that had to endure and go through this campus tragedy. Each and every one should be applauded for what you have stepped up and done, you showed that we the people, could work together even when we were losing people that we loved and cared about and we will never see again
Remember the memories of the people we lost that day we should never have lost them. But by losing the loved ones that you lost they continue to show us how precious the time we spend with family and friends is and the appreciation of how precious life is. May god bless us all. This incident has left all of us around the world completely speechless. The university is a place where I personally feel the safest and secured, with nothing but hope and aspirations for the future. Its a place where all my worries cease to exist. It is unfortunate that such an incident happened at all and at a place so sacred and loved by young minds..May god bless them with his mercy and give Virginia Tech and its students and staff the courage to rise up from this again. Our prayers are with all of you.

To everyone effected by the days events, may your wounds heal but your hearts remember. Despite the grave occurrences taken place remember the people who put everything they had on the table and make sure their presence is still felt. Act as they would have acted. Love as they would have loved. To all those griveing and in pain, my heart and my campus mourns with you as you try to understand what has happened and figure out where to go from here. Noone will forget you hokies, and now everyone will know your name. Take from this event the oppurtunity to show the world that Vtech is more than what the world is seeing. You bring inspiration to a nation.

On behalf of 12 million people of Kolkata, India, I want to say that they were like our younger brothers and sisters, who have been lost; and we care crying for the loss of our beloved brothers and sisters.

I request everyone to refrain themselves from spreading communal disharmony; this incident has noting to do with any community or nation; it is the act of a twisted individual.

Be good. Love everyone.

My eyes are wet with tears of grief,
My heart is squeezed with pain.
The lightness that is youth has been burned this day
In a way that cannot be explained.

Humanity is mourning
Virginia Tech - we cry with you.
So so Sorry for our collective loss - those gone, those who will wait for them, every day, to return.  Those that grieve and mourn , those for whom life has changed, forever.

As a 3rd year college student at Oklahoma State University, this hits home more than ever. Seeing this brings back memories of Columbine, September 11th, and other school shootings across the nation. Stillwater and Blacksburg are very similar: large campus in a small, rural community. After this tragedy, I feel so much more grateful and blessed than I ever did before. It truly makes me realize not to take each day for granted and to live it to the fullest. To the family and friends out there who lost their loved ones, we are praying for you and we are grieving with you. I have cried several times and it still continues to effect me. To the students of Virginia Tech, may God bless you and know that everyone is touched at how your community is coming together and its so touching to also see the nation coming together and putting aside differences. And to the heroes who lost their lives saving other lives, you are appreciated and loved more than you know. I am praying for everyone effected by this. “Today, we all are Hokies.”

I graduated with a masters from Virginia Tech in 1990 and now live half a world away in India, often remembering a beautiful and lovely campus, where I lived two wonderful years of my life. Watching the news in disbelief, unable to understand how this could happen, I was filled with sorrow at the havoc this tragedy has wreaked. My deepest condolences to the families of those who passed, and to the young students there now, whose innocence has been impacted beyond comprehension. The Virginia Tech family will never be the same again - but we shall go on with our faith and strength intact.

Although there are only 3 Dutch students at VT, the terrible events were broadcasted by all TV networks and radiostations. Our son was asked for information and comments almost continuously, which illustrate the nationwide interest and involvment in what happened.
As parents of one of those students we would like to convey our deepest sympathies with our fellow parents and their children. Our prayers are with them, and we know that many people in The Netherlands share our prayers and thoughts.
The spirit of the Convocation will remain with us forever.

I have nothing to say for this heinous crime.Sometimes there is a limit to words to express your sorrow and feelings when you are facing with a such atrocity.

The only thing that you must do by now as Virginia Tech stuff and student community is to be the prime mover to demand Virginia State legislation system to stop and terminate the free gun ownership in your State but non only in the whole Federation.

I have been a"Proud Hokie” since I was ten years old, but I have never been more proude to be a part of “Hokie Nation” than now. My prayers and sorrow goes out to all who have lost their loved ones, friends and co-workers. I pray that God will make sense of this tradgedy to us all some day as He is the only one who can. I pray that all “Hokies” will stay as close to God as they can as this is the only way we can ever have any peace over this horrible event. God Bless you all and may you be flooded with and know the peace of Almighty God as you go through this ordeal.
