To our brothers and sisters in Virginia, the hearts of everyone in the UK have been touched by your tragic loss of ones so bright.  May their memories live on in those who have been left behind, and strive to succeed and carry on for them.  You are all in our prayers.

April 18, 2007, 3:18am • Southend on Sea, United Kingdom • #6187

I pray for the victims, may they rest in peace

I pray for the witnesses, may they experience healing

I pray for the family and friends of victims, may they never loose hope or belief in good

I pray for those whose faith has been shaken, may they find stability and closure

This incident has demonstrated how much evil one person is capable of. If a single human soul can produce so much damage, grief, and tragedy, then our ability to cause good in the world must be equally as shocking and awesome.

As a student at Rutgers University, I strongly considered going to VT during my late years in high school, so it even was a school held closely to me long before this senseless act of violence occurred. This tragedy just reminds us all that life is ever so fragile, and my heart goes out to those innocent students - students just like me, my peers - as well as those faculty members - who had their lives senselessly ended, as well as their friends and families. I wish you all nothing but the best in the coming times...I know that Blacksburg is a strong community, and I am positive that you will all heal and come back stronger in the process. I also know that none of those lost could ever be replaced, but their legacy and the memories they left behind will live on forever with those who were lucky enough to know such extraordianary individuals. Go, Hokies…

Today, 3,000 miles away, I looked to the mountains and saw the beauty of the rugged peaks, and thought God speed to those who have departed. Then I sent love to their families, friends, the faculty and students at Virginia Tech. Death was not the dream of any parent who sent their child to school. Now we must all remember the dreams that each unique individual had and how each connected with this world. We must carry forth their hopes and aspirations in their honor, humbly and with love.

A while back I felt the loss of a close friend, and i feared i may feel the loss of a loved one again. Nothing makes me feel worse than to think of life without my loving girlfreind who battles cancer. I know nothing will replace the beauty of souls lost, nothing said by strangers will replace their persona lost through such horrific tragedy. I found this site a while back and it helped me understand how to cope. I feel this site may help understand your feelings and emotions. http://dying.about.com/index.htm

I know I am in Canada which seems so far away but I was in Virginia 2 weeks ago for a Nascar race and I was amazed at all the VT family that I saw. Know that Canada is behind you and grieving your losses as well.

We were shocked when we learned of the terrible incident at your college in Virginia. The ages of the victims and the fact that they were at a place of learning some how seems to make this event even worse.(if thats possible) Despite my wife and myself being thousands of miles away in the North West of England we want you all to know that our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
