Thinking of all of the parents of college students far from home. I am soon to be the parent of a college student and will be constantly thinking of my child at school. This tragedy should never have to happen again. Hug and love each other whenever you get the chance. Time is too short.

The glow of Burrus Hall in the morning sun is a lasting memory of my wonderful years at Tech. My hopes are that the students who innocently died on 4/16 caught a glimpse of that beauty on their walk that morning. May God’s comfort be with the family and friends of the students and professors that perished, were injured, and witnessed this tragedy. Hokie Hope....

We would all like to extend our sympathy to the families and friends of the victims. The victims were innocent; they were children, brothers, sisters, cousins, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, teachers, mentors, and friends of thousands of people all over the world. They didn’t deserve this.

Virginia Tech is a powerful and great education establishment. We know those “Hokies will prevail!”

“Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.”

As a high school senior, it is very scary for me to watch this type of extreme tragedy unfold on a college campus.  I was very shaken by this and continue to keep the victims, the recovering victims, the families, faculty and staff in my prayers.

May we all stick together on all days, not just after a tragedy.

Go Hokies.

I send my feelings of deep sorrow, and condolence.
May the sincere thoughts and prayers of sympathy of millions and millions of people going out to those at Virginia Tech, and to the families, relatives and friends of those gone from this life, help the grieving and healing process.
May the souls of the innocent be on their way to Heaven the instant they passed over to the next Life. May their unique spirits shine in Heaven and may they be allowed to watch over their loved ones in some mysterious way and help ease the pain of loss over the upcoming days, months and years.
Their rewards must be great because they did not deserve what was done to them, nor did their families and friends deserve such overwhelming sorrow.
May God in His Mercy and Love somehow help all of you!

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,

And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand…

Until we all meet our beloved love ones who have left before us, young and old, let us hold on to the precious memories they have left with us.

Our thoughts are with the families, friends, and staff of Virginia Tech and our deepest condolenses and prayers go out to the families and extended families of those who lost a beloved love one.

Learning To Lean

Learning the reality of humanity and social
values are often difficult. Learning no one
is above another, but equal. Once we do,
life begins to open windows of joy within.
Crossroads are scary when you’ve missed the
signs.

We often don’t look beyond ourselves as we’re
just to busy to care. Through life we endure
trials and tribulations. Sometimes it’s best to
take a deep breath, a moment alone to look
within our own hearts.

So often we want to lead, but refuse to follow.
Become so harden we expect nothing less than
only perfection from others. In our own way we
allow life to pass us by and miss the signs.

Learning to lean can be the hardest task to learn,
that life and people are worth every moment.
Thank God I’m learning to lean on others and
on the One who holds tomorrow.

I would like to let everyone know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. To the families and friends of all those lost in such a senseless manner I hope you can find some kind of peace and solace. I hope it helps to know that there are people from all over the world praying for you. For those that were injured I wish you a complete and speedy recovery. To every student, Tech employee, and anyone else that was affected that day may God give you a peace that passes all understanding as you begin to pick up the pieces again and try to find a new normal. I would also like to thank all emergency workers for a difficult job well done. I would also like to thank the Tech officials for their efforts and the hard choices they had to make in such a difficult time. Everyone involved did an excellent job. The Hokies will survive this. Hearts are broken but, they will heal, they will be scared but, they will heal. May God bless you everyone.

As I sit and watch everything that is happening as a result of the tragedy and horror that was Monday, April 16, nothing saddens me more than the way that the administration and police force are being second guessed about what they did or didn’t do. I only hope that whatever happens in the future, they will not be made the scapegoats for the actions of a very sick, sick man. Our prayers are with each and everyone connected in someway to VA Tech as the ties are far-reaching. God bless - you do not walk alone.
