I have had the oppurtunity to be a distant part of the Virgina Tech family as my sister works for the University and I have been able to attend a few bowl games. The one thing I feel is most important is that from ALumni to first year student, Va Tech is like a family. There is a special bond I see among Hokies that are not seen at other Universities. My family feels such deep compassion for all the families who lost children or loved ones. This is a heinous act that no one will ever be able to explain. The only hope is that all of the Va Tech family can remember these students and faculty who lost theri live adn think about the good times. They are all in the Lords hands now and will always look down on you with love.

Sincerly,

What has happened at Virginia Tech is an unspeakable tragedy. Tomorrow, and each day after that I walk along my school’s campus, I will think of those who’s lives were taken unfairly, and who are no longer able to do what so many often take for granted. For those who are hurting from this tragedy, you are not alone in your pain. An entire nation grieves with you.

My sweet 18 year old niece is a first year student at UCA Conway, Ar and i cannot begin to understand how these families are coping with this unimaginable tragedy. My husband is a Police officer who is trained for school shootings and hostage situations, but no one could fully be ready for something this horrendous. My deepest condolances and thoughts go out to everyone directly affected by this senseless act of selfishness, God be with you all. Just know that from the young to the old, witnessing this anguishing destruction of lives, feeling helpless to do anything to help it be less devastating, We are all together as one to support you. Always know that they were all extraordinary beings, they will forever leave an impression on us all.

There are no words that will heal all the pain and sorrow that each member of your community is feeling right now. Nothing can remove the sadness and heartbreak that occurs when a community is broken down and shatter as yours at VT and Blacksburg, VA has been. But please know that your greater communities across the nation and world are feeling a piece of your pain. We are watching, hearing and connected to you in so many ways. I send my deepest thoughts and prayers to each of you during this time and even into the future. College is a time to discover yourself and what life is all about. Hold your heads high and continue to live out your dreams. Our world needs your amazing minds, your kind spirits and your good citizenship. Lets honor the victims of this horrible event by showing the world that VT is resiliant and strong. This may have torn your world down, but we all know you can rise above it. My heart will hold each of you in thoughts and prayers as you find your own inner strength during this time.

Myself and my family would like to share our our condolences with all of the families of the victims of this senseless crime.  I cannot even attempt to understand why this has happened to so many lives.  It is a tragedy to take the lives of these young adults.  I want to say Thank You to the teachers that gave their own lives to save that of their students.  These are very brave souls.  My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you that this tragedy has their lives.
I would also like to send my condolences to the family of Cho Seung-Hui.  They have lost their son, but they should not be blamed for his doings.  They should be honored as one of the victims as this has touched their lives too.
May God be with you in your time of need.
