May there be some type of comfort thru all these emails. For God is our only hope and we must learn and teach our children the ten commandments, to avoid evil from taking over our souls! We must pray to make this a better World. We must teach to fear, Authority. Let’s all come together and make sense out of these tragedies.  May God bless you all and give you peace and understanding.

To see my campus, my old dorm, a place I called home for 4 yrs and continue to call home to this day under attack, shatters a piece of my heart. But our school is not just a school… its a community filled with a strong comaraderie and great pride that WILL prevail… and this is what makes the pain a little easier.

Sending Prayers and Love,

I am deeply saddened at the events of this week.  As an alumni of Tech I have many wonderful memories of Blacksburg and college life.  Although I cannot understand the hate that this man felt, he cannot change my pride in being a Hokie and the love I feel for the college and its students past and present.

I will remember all of the victims and their families in my thoughts and prayers.

I’m originally from VA but now live in NYC. I watched through tears the horrific events.  But I had to write to say that I thought the quickly put together convocation was one of the most beautiful programs I had ever seen.  The 4 different religious leaders were a testament to what a wonderful school this is.  And program was a beautiful monument to the victims.  I was so proud of all of you at Tech for the character and compassion shown through this tragedy.

To all affected by this tragedy:

Family, friends, associates - it is easy to mourn the loss of your dear ones, but remember this: despite the horror and seeming randomness of the tragedy, they would want you to live on.

Have strength and courage through these difficult times.

People in this nation are grieving with you and words cannot be found to express the sorrow that is felt...but...I have to say that I have rediscovered a new found hope for our country and our world while witnessing the level of maturity and goodness in the actions and words of the VT community that has been apparent over the last two days.  It would seem you all have chosen to rise above this sad time and find a higher place, higher than the accusations and supposition and second guessing that is running rampant in the media.  You students have stood out among the rest as heros and leaders.  God keep you safe...hold one another close, and talk it out but don’t try to make sense of it, there is none. TAKE HEED TO YOURSELVES.
IF YOUR BROTHER SINS AGAINST YOU, REBUKE HIM; AND IF HE REPENTS, FORGIVE HIM. AND IF HE SINS AGAINST YOU SEVEN TIMES IN A DAY, AND SEVEN TIMES A DAY RETURNS TO YOU, SAYING, “ I REPENT”, YOU SHALL FORGIVE HIM.- LUKE 17:3,4
