Dear Students, Teachers & family of VT victims.
I truly share your grief. Two years ago a man who had stood up in my wedding shot & killed my minister, his son and five other friends in Brookfield, Wisconsin. I understand your feelings. Pray for strength. You will see your loved ones again some day. I am sending you prayers and tears and love and hope and hugs and hugs and hugs.

I left Hokie Nation last May, in body, but a part of my heart will always belong to VT.  Our strength is much deeper than the colors we so proudly display-it is, in fact, a part of our moral fiber.  Never have we been tested quite like this...my thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to those who have lost someone they love.

In trying to tear us apart, the shooter failed to take into account that we are HOKIES.  We will remember and cherish the memory of our fallen comrades TOGETHER.  United we stand, divided we fall.  LET’S GO HOKIES!! <3

When I heard of this terrible tragedy, It broke my heart. It shocks me what people can do to others. It also saddens me of what the world may be becoming. Love your kids and keep this close to your heart. I am fixing to start college and this makes me worry of going. I hope this will start stronger security at all Junior Colleges and Universities. I am so sorry you innocent people have to deal with this and I know that all our prayers are with you. Even though we haven’t met, I feel your pain and want you to know that many care.  Sarah

Miss Me--But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free

Miss me a little-but not to long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss Me--But Let Me Go

For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone
It’s all apart of the Masters plan
A step on the road to home

When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss Me-- But Let Me Go

I know it’s very hard to go on, I don’t know any of you, but I Love you and I’m praying for you all

I know this may only mean something to me, but I feel I need to get it out.  To all the families that lost someone, I don’t feel saying sorry is enough. I wish to the highest power I could make this go away, but I cant.  Being a parent myself, well I cant imagine.
Being a police officer, I know that every night I go out and put my life on the line.  I only wish I could have been there for your children and friends.  That way my life being laid down for what is right in this world could have stood for something.  I dont know if it would or could have made a difference, but I wish.  I know that this doesn’t mean much, but I thought I needed to get it out.  My prayers are with you.  I wish I could do more.  Tim

I’m venezuelan and I’m really sorry about this. I’m 27 years old and I feel my life is just begining. What about those kids? 19, 20, 21 years old… come on. The thing is: doesn’t matter what is the nacionality of this monster. We all live in the same world and a flag don’t make a difference. A good heart makes a difference. I’m here in Caracas and I cried. This is terrible. Really really sorry. There’s no words for this.

Unto him who can keep us from falling, I know my words of comfort and condolences are but a drop in lake of eternal everlasting love from the almighty.  Yet, I’m compelled to convey to the entire family of “HOKIES”.  All of the precious souls now are being rocked in the bosom of Abraham and the angels of the lord have been sent flying down with all of God’s love to guide them home.  We all are made of the same fabric, the fabric of mankind and in times is theses, God has send he shall hide us all in time of trouble.  Let your hearts not falter, for days shall come again when the sun shall warm our hearts and smiles will return.  We are in God’s hands, keep all your hands in his.  God Keep and Bless you all…
