Condolences, April 18, 2007

As a recent graduate of Old Dominion University my heart goes out to all of the students, staff, and family of Virginia Tech. I could not even begin to imagine, but the world is with you at this time and feels your pain.  I would like to offer my deepest condolences to all involved.  To all of Tech you will be in my thoughts in prayers in this time of need and may God be there to help guide each and every one of you.

We can not hold an entire race or people accountable for the actions of one if that were the case there would never be any peace. Take this time to pray and help the families of those who have lost their loved ones.

To all the families that lost their own please remember the time of your lost ones life not these tragic moments of their passing, free your minds enough to believe that they are still here with you and in your passing they will be there to greet you, don’t feel too bad the climate seems to be one of extreme change and cataclysmic events as was the case in the Philippines when they lost tens if not thousands, New York on 911, Africa on a daily basis and of course New Orleans. Life is fleeting and there is nothing worse then losing the children we so valiantly defend and love but remember we are all one and only as one will we stand, divided we will always fall. May god bless all of you and your children. There is nothing more tragic then not saying I LOVE YOU or expressing the love we feel for each other for life is never guaranteed its a blessing lets use this this moment to express the love and appreciation for one another, shed a tear and lets not forget. GOD BLESS US ALL!

These words aren’t mine, but I believe they fit perfectly. This is what this song is all about. Your story touched my heart, and I have been deply grieved for you all. I am lifting you before the throne daily. May God keep you under the shelter of His Wing.
BABBIE MASON - “Standing In The Gap”

I heard that you were hurting

That you were suffering pain

But I didn’t dare just turn my head

And look the other way

For when your heart is aching

My heart is aching too

Let me help you bear your burden

That’s the least that I can do

I’ll be standing in the gap for you

Just remember someone, somewhere is praying for you

Calling out your name

Praying for your strength

I’ll be standing in the gap for you

Right now you may be troubled

But everything will work out fine

For the Spirit knows before you speak

What is on your heart and mind

So I’ll be interceding

Til your standing strong again

The peace that passes understanding

Is going to be yours, but until then

So hang on my friend

It won’t be long

And you have the strength

To carry on

For when two or three are walking together

It will be a much lighter load

For isn’t that what a brother and a sister are for

I would just like to say to all of those affected by this unbearable event either directly or indirectly as there are those of us who are truely grieving with you.  I have no words to describe my grief for all of the students, staff and community members in and near Virginia Tech.  For the families of the young men and women who died and were injured i wish to send you all my strength.  I think that at a time like this we must stick together as not only as one educational institution.. but also as a global community.  Please we are with you, and you are not alone.  I have been deeply moved and i have a sincere wish that i could do something for you all.  I can only express in words how much i want to let you know that i am there for you.  I don’t know you and don’t expect you to know me.. but to let you know that there is one more person out there who sends her support and prayers and love i hope it will help you in your healing.  From one human to another.. I pray for you peace… Nicole Doyon Sudbury, ON Canada

I give my deepest condolences to everyone at Virginia Tech. I hope you all are able to find a way to carry on in your life. Find a way to move on and live the rest of your life they way you have planned it. Don’t let anyone, or anything bring you down. You are alive for a reason and that should give you the will to move on. This unfortunate incident should make you realize that life is too short to not live. There is a song that I love. I want to share a part of this song to all of you. It goes like this: “Always love? Hate will get you every time, Always Love, even when you wanna fight…”- Always Love; Nada Surf. Please, remember that line. Always love. No matter who hurt you, or made you mad. Hating people won’t get you anywhere in life. Hate is a weakness that drains out your life. If we all learned to love more than hate, maybe, just maybe people will think twice about murder, or war. Maybe someday we will see peace. Once we have peace in our hearts and mind, we will have peace on earth. Don’t let this incident drag your life down. This should be a wake up call to live your life.
I hope you all are doing well.
God Bless!

To the Virginia Tech students, faculty, family and friends.

I send you all my heartfelt thoughts and prayers. There are no words that can heal the pain and sorrow felt by many.  Hokies as well as many others throughout the world.  Be strong. Be the Hokie Nation that we know. Never forget those that have fallen. I have been a student at three major universities and now the father of two college students at two universities. As I write this I find that I have been deeply affected by this horrific event as you all have. I hope and pray that this never happens again in our great nation.  Go Hokies! Go VT!

May God Bless.

To the families and friends of those lost:

I whispered a prayer for you today,
for Angels to guide you along the way
To come to you from up above
And wrap you in their wings of love
A time does come - as we all know
Someway, somehow - we all must go
We would keep you here if we knew how
But God must have wanted you with him
right now
Through tears of sorrow and of pain
Tomorrow there’s joy - no more rain
So dear Angel, as you spread your wings
Peace be with you as you fly away.

To the Students, Faculty, Employees of Virginia Tech...may God watch over each and everyone of you during the coming days. My heart and prayers are with you!
