Here is a quote that I would like to share with everyone.

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.

Virginia Tech you are in our thoughts, our hearts, and our prayers.  I cannot imagine what you have been through; just know that the VCU campus, our great state, and the entire nation is willing to share your sorrows.  And as we shed tears over this horrible tragedy, we do so in rememberance of those who were lost.  We will never forget them. Today we are all Hokies.

In Memory of all the victims on April 16, 2007

One gift, above all others,
God gives to us to treasure,
One that knows no time, no place,
And one gold cannot measure.

The precious, poignant, tender gift,
Of Memory---that will keep,
Our dear ones ever in our hearts
although God gives them sleep,

It brings back long remembered things

A song, a word, a smile,
And our world’s a better place because
We had them for awhile!

May God bless all of you.

I am so saddened that violence has disrupted your lives so abruptly. I am praying for your community. The courage of Liviu Librescu has touched me deeply. God bless the heroes who were killed trying to help others, and also those who were killed simply because they were in the way. VTech will rise above this.

I am a student from Hamburg, Germany and
cannot realize this tragedy which occured
at VT. I am trying to write something that
could help you getting out of the pain and
sadness but even after 15 mins. I still don’t
know how to cheer you up..., but how could I?

There is nothing anyone could say, to make
this tragedy forget, I mean, it shall not be forgotten, but how can you get over this
hill of tears, without the world being with you?

I’m so sad, I send out my biggest condolences for
those who lost a member of the family or a friend,
I am with those who were in this horrifiying unbelievable “scene”.... and all others!

Be strong, the whole world is with you, I’m sure.
Once, I learned not to abide in sadness but to
learn from the happened and include it in (our) future living.

I hope weapons -> violence -> pain will rest in future everywhere in the world, so everyone can live in peace.

Again, I wish you all the very best and am with
the victims, families and friends.

A student from Hamburg, Germany who mourns like
you do,

Olli

The incredible outpouring of support and caring from everyone all over the world should reinforce the notion that we are behind you, all of you, from students, faculty, and to family.  No one can adequately put into words the rush of emotions and conflicting feelings for such an atrocity.  Know that all affected are in our thoughts.  Like most that had the privilege of living in Blacksburg, my time at VT provided some of my most treasured memories.  Ut Prosim.

Just 3 weeks ago both my children (ages 10 and 7)toured VT with my in-laws and a corp of cadets student. My 10 year old daughter has wanted to attend VT because it has a strong history in my in-laws family. My heart aches tremendously to think that someones child will not be coming home this summer or Christmas. To think that parents will no longer be talking to their children about their grades or discussing family get togethers hurts my soul. To think that someones Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, etc, wont be hugging them again makes the lump in my throat hard to swallow. Although this tragedy will not be forgotten, VT’s resolve will help them heal and push forward. Our prayers, thoughts and hugs are with the entire VT community and those affected by this senseless act of violence. My daughter still plans on becoming a VT student in 8 years and is not letting this sway her early love and dedication for this wonderful school. She proudly wears her VT shirts everywhere and I proudly sport my vehicle decal to show my support. Go Hokies :o)
Prayers for Gods comfort sent up.
