May the God of your understanding
Walk through your lives and
Gently replace your grief, anger and horror with
Healing, Grace, Mercy, Forgiveness and Peace…
Leaving you the best memories of those you lost.

A University Louisiana at Monroe and North Florida University alumnus grieves for & with you.

Do please seek counseling as you need it. The writer who mentioned PTSD, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder is quite right. Shocking traumas can come back to haunt.

It takes a lot of living to get over dieing.
Live fully in honor of your lost ones.

Virginia Tech, I am a college student at Arizona State, and want to sent my sincere condolences to you all.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

As I watched CNN and heard the deafening sounds of gun fire, I can only imagine how horrific it must have been for all those close to the scene and now to the entire Virgina Tech campus.  My heart goes out foremost to the victims who have lost their lives when it should just be beginning.  And to their family and friends, I can only pass on my prayers for you.

This incident is NOT what any school of higher education should have to experience.  I often wonder why there are not stricter gun controls.

As the ‘real’ story slowly becomes known, I sit here with tears running down my cheeks wondering why this had to happen in the first place.

My condolences to all the families who have lost loved ones and please take time to grieve as the world is grieving with you.

Fondest regards,

While I do not know anyone at Virginia Tech, my heart goes out to the families of the victims who were killed during this terrible tragedy. And, may God grant a speedy recovery to those injured.
This entire ordeal is incomprehensible to me. It’s difficult to believe that a tragedy of such magnitude could occur on a college campus in the United States.
Again, my prayers and thoughts are with Virginia Tech and the victims of the shootings.

Sincerely,

Eric

Dallas Baptist University wants you to know we stand behind you. We are deeply affected by the tragedy that has struck your school. Our thoughts and prayers have been with you at the beginning of every class I’ve been to since the shooting took place. We don’t understand anymore than you do, but rather than place blame, we are choosing to send our love and our prayers on your behalf. No one could have predicted this terrible thing would happen, not to mention twice in one morning. Please know that you are not alone in your grief and the college students around the country stand behind you now, willing you the strength and courage to go on. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He be gracious unto you, may He make His face to shine upon you, and may He give you peace.

I am writing this from my country cottage in the UK on a beautiful spring morning. The birds are singing and the sky is a bright blue. In the midst of this stillness and beauty I took time to stand outside in the cool early morning air to think of all those whose hearts have been broken by the loss of such dearly loved friends, sons, daughters, brothers and sisters, husbands, wives........
The grief of so many is felt here, across the pond, and as a mother of two grownup children, my heart goes out to you all.
I send you my love and prayers, and would urge the young ones caught up in this horror,to live their lives to the full, with fire in their hearts, so that their full and worthwhile lives can become a memorial to their lost friends and family members.
Life is a precious gift. We must all use it well.

There are no words for the grief I feel for my alma mater.  Even though I am thousands of miles away, the sadness is deep.  I pray for those who lost their lives, that they have peace and security.  May their families find forgiveness and peace as well. I am so proud of every Hokie for staying true to the maroon and orange, showing the world we are strong. It will take time but we will heal.

We all mourn for each and every person touched by this tragedy.  We shed tears for people we’ve never known, pray for families we’ll never meet, and always be reminded how very precious every moment is.

Please know dear students, families, and faculty that we grieve with you.

I hardly know what words to say… nothing seems adequate to convey the heartache and sorrow that so many must be feeling at this time.  I pray that some day we can understand, grow strong enough to forgive and finally heal.
