The words that I would express are expressed by so many throughout the world.  Please know that I hold you all in my heart and will be praying for peace, love and eventually forgiveness for this sensless action.  The one thing that no one can take away from you are your memories...memories or your loved ones life, the fun and joy of seeing them grow up and start on their chosen paths.  These dreams are never to be fulfilled, but you are so very lucky that your children chose this path...to become better individuals and citizens.  To the students at VT, please grasp each and every day with good thoughts and actions and go forth and make our world a better place in which to live.  You have shown the world how strong the VT family is...you do us proud!  To the families of those who were taken and to those who were injured, we will keep you in our prayers daily.  God Bless each and everyone.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who was affected by this awful tragedy.  Though I may not personally know you, I am grieving with all of you, as if we were family. I am dumbstruck as to why needless disasters like this one take away our loved ones, neighbors and friends.  The only thing I can assume is that in the end, people will ban together for support and unity. Hopefully, people will cherish the friends and families they have, just a little more, because that is what is truly important. Peace to everyone.  Kristen

As a former resident of Virginia and as the parent of a freshman at Vassar College, I extend my most profound sympathies to the families of all those bright and vibrant young men and women who were lost to them on Monday last. May you bear up under this unspeakable tragedy and derive at least a small measure of comfort from the outpouring of grief that this event has engendered.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone at Virginia Tech and the families of the victims at this time of sorrow. As a mother of a Sophmore in college and a Junior in high school I can’t imagine what you are all going through. Hopefully with the love and support of our nation, the burden will be a tiny bit lighter. I hope you can find the strength necessary to begin your healing process that will not doubt take a very long time. Peace be with all of you.

I am deeply saddened by what’s happened to you all.  My 13 year old daughters dream is to go to Tech to become a Vetranarian, and her dream hasn’t changed and I admire her for that.  Just the way I admire all of you Students and your pride and your Genuine love that you are showing right now.  I am so sorry that this happened to you.  But you will prevail and overcome these trials.  Only good can come from this even though I know so many of you are struggling with grief. Just keep your head up and know that everybody’s prayers are lifting you up.  We are so very sorry that especially you young impressionable minds would have to witness to something so surreal.  The image will never leave, the memories will be forever, just know that Faith and Love is so much stronger.  WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I feel for the friends and family of the the victims in this most evil act. I can never understand the evil in a human being. From the West coast to the east coast we all are praying for you and your family....Please… I beg those around me to appreciate what’s there… without having to, or even imagine losing it.  when it comes to appreciating those around you, and what they mean to you, let there be a rainbow without the rain… call those friends you haven’t talked to in years, whose absence in your life right now isn’t really affecting you, but whose forever absence would make YOU feel lost.  hug your friends every time you see them, and don’t ever hold grudges...ever.  it will always be a mistake.  nothing is unforgiveable

You are in my prayers, families, faculty and students.

I would like to say that I wish VT would consider permanently renaming Norris Hall.  I think it should be renamed Librescu Hall, in honor of a man that exemplified all that is good and brave in this world, (whereas the shooter exemplified all that is evil and cowardly.) This wonderful man gave his life for his students.  I think it is only fitting.

There are so many questions that may never be answered.  Despite the infinite suffering, there are still pieces of beauty to be found.  There are heros to be focused on, and miracles amidst the horror. Every family, every person involved will be in my prayers and thoughts.  I pray a sense of peace can be found for those who have faced a greater loss than I can ever imagine. God Bless.

First off, i would like to say that all of my thoughts, actions, and words since Monday have been kept in thought of the victims, their families, and all Hokies across the nation.  I am not a student but I was raised by my parents( who are graduates) to love the school.  I have visited many times for football games and academic visits and I know that this great university will get through this hardship.  My prayers are with all affected near and far.
