As a 9/11 widow I know are no words that will aid in this horrific time.  I wish I could embrace each and everyone who is suffering right now, and I know that only time will begin to lessen the acute agony.  I know God is with you all, and He sees the suffering of the innocent.  The world is united in it’s prayers for you all.  Just like in the 9/11 tragedy, We will never forget!

Although words cannot express the tragedy that has happened at VT, please seek counseling from friends, relatives, etc.  We experience loss in our lives at one time or another. Loss at this magnitude, cannot be explained.  No one cannot be blamed for what has happened, but serve as a wake up call to all campuses to be aware of your surroundings at all times. Please never forget so it can never be repeated. May God watch and protect the families who have lost loved ones in this time of pain and loss. Take care of them with prayers and love.

My family just wanted to let you know that everyone at Virginia Tech are in our thoughts and prayers.  It is so hard for us to get our heads around the fact that this happened so we can only imagine how difficult this time is for those directly affected. Words cannot express the sorrow at time like these.

Driving around today in my home state of Arkansas I seen all the flags at half staff and the signs of condolences.  It made me feel so proud to be in a country that will wrap its arms around those in need of comfort and support.  We are here for you, lifting you up in prayer and sending strength your way.

God Bless,
The Cruise family.

To all at VT - I will never understand what happened, I can not imagine how you feel. But I do know that life will go on, no matter how dark the circumstances. To Zach, I watched you describe how you stood your ground and stopped that kid from getting to you and your classmates. To do that takes courage beyond any other. I can’t imagine how that felt at the time but you were amazing to do it.
I would like to share these words with you all, from Psalm 71..."In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. Rescue me and deliver me in you righteousness; turn your ear to me and save me. Be my rock of refuge..”

You are Hokies, You will go on.

Love, Louisa Bauman

We all feel your pain and we are here beside you a hundred percent. We would never ever think of something like this to happen. I think we should all support you all the best way we know how and to do that we would have to stick together to get through it all. We as people shouldn’t go through this. The question I just wanted to know was why would someone do this to a school and not only the school but to people and families? To hurt all the innocent people but we have to stay strong for every one and every thing.
Sincerly,
Stefany Wallace

I wanted to see the faces of those who died.  When I did I had to hold back tears. I wanted to reach out and hug each one of them.  I am silently crying with and for the family, relatives and friends of each victim.  I can offer my condolences and prayers, which I whole-heartedly do.  But it’s not enough.  I wish I could do more, but I don’t know what to do :(

Dear Students, Faculty, and Families at Virginia Tech,
My condolences go out to you during this difficult time. I am a university student in Toronto, Canada and I am still shocked to this day that this has happened to your school community. This sort of incident could have happened to any school in the continent and we all have to be strong and be grateful that we are alive today. It’s unfortunate to know that 32 lives were taken from you, but you have to continue to be strong and keep your Hokies spirits up. You will get through this...I stand behind you in this period of sadness. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  <3

I honestly have never heard of Virginia Tech until two days ago.  What a horrific way to find out about a place you have never heard of.  I am only one person in a small town in Indiana thinking of what I can do to help the innocent victims and the family members of these people.  I would like to let everyone know that all are in my thoughts and prayers.  I truly believe in the awesome power of prayer and I think that people from all over the world will come together and help us through this.  So, to all the faculy, staff, students, victims, families, and friends, I pray for you and I will spread the word to as many others as I can to do the same.  I, as one person, cannot make a huge difference, but if everyone comes together, the result will be amazing.  Love and wishes,
Andrea Risk

Please take me by the hand
Stand byme in my hour of need
Take time to understand
Take my hand dear friend, and lead me from this place
Chase away my doubts and fears
Wipe the tears form off my face
Friend I cannot stand alone

The warmth of your genle touch
In my world that is growing so cold

We know what its like to have a date that will be a part of your school’s history.  On March 1st, 2007 we lost 8 of our high school students when a tornado hit the school.  We know the pain, shock, and hopeless that comes from horrendous occurrences. We share in your grief and pray that God will bless and keep you as you work toward recovery.  You are not ALONE!!!

This major tragedy is replete with pain and mourning. I want to emphasize the fact that more than hundreds of people are praying for the consolation of the families of the victims and the survivors, that you may be strong, keep your head up, and prevail over this plethora of sadness. Nothing can change what happened, sadly, but know that you aren’t alone in the world, and that my heart goes out to you that are mourning the losses. You will be in my thoughts, my prayers, and heart. God bless you, and may consolation soon be within your lives
