Dear Virginia Tech Family,

My family thoughts and prayer’s are with you now and forever. I am so sorry about the loss you have suffered by one selfish person. I cried for innocent people and their families I have never met and probably will never meet since I live on the other side of this great nation. I am proud of how the sudents have handled themselves and how they have leaned on each other in this time of tragedy. My heart goes out to all of you and your families.

It is horrified to heard the news at Virginia Tech that may innocent lives have been taken for no apparent reason. I like to thank all the people that were able to act quickly during this event to prevent taking even more innocent lives. I don’t even know how I would react during this kind of catastrophic event.

My thoughts and prayers goes to those that have been affected by this horrible tragedy. May GOD Bless you all!

The emotional strain on the parents and family of the victims is unconscionable.  They were expecting their children and loved ones to attain great achievements and be praised and rewarded for them.  This sudden tragedy was truly unexpected.  What happened at VT is a shock to everyone everywhere.  The kids were outstanding young people, who were trying to improve themselves and others.  Let us remember these innocent children.

I hope the other students and faculty at VT continue with their educational efforts.  All of you at VT should be revered for your efforts.

I watched the service/gathering on Tuesday from my television.  All the speakers were so eloquent. I have never been to Virginia Tech or the state of Virginia, but now I want to visit.  It seems like you have such a wonderful community of people who reach out to one another and care about each other.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very diffucult time.

I have children from the age of 21 to 6 months old. I look at each one of them and try to explain this senseless act, but how.  All I can do is hold them and love them for now.  I pray for each one of the families, victims and school - and wish I could hug each of you (even though we’ve never met) to let you know how sad I am and how much I care. Words seem meaningless right now, so please take this note of care and condolence as a long distance hug from myself and my family.  Our prayers our with all of you.  God Bless !!

From everyone at ottawa University and probably all the Universities and Colleges in the world, we are praying and thinking of all the families, friends faculty that are going through this mournful time, as well as the beautiful people that have lost their lives. This difficult time brings wisdom and perseverence to you all in this cruel world, which often cannot be understood.

May sunlight and beautiful days and memories ahead bring happy times in your lives. Love is what we need in this world to make it through events like this, and your loved ones will be remembered forever.

Thank you for showing the world, unfortunatly through this tragedy, your strength, the strength of human beings in general and the importance of living each day to the fullest.

To the Community of Virginia Tech,

It hit hard with me when I heard the tragic news that unfolded on your campus. Attending and living the college life myself hit home with me because I cannot imagine the horror that day must have been for all of you. My prayers and my heart go out to all of you! May you lead your life with “Hokie Pride” and may the memories of the victims live in our hearts forever.

My condolences are with all of you, and all of your families.  My six year old son asked me today if 30 new people were going to heaven today. His little brother Cade went to heaven himself at two weeks old.  I told him yes, 30 more people went to heaven today and we prayed for all of you.  I couldn’t help but think of all the future Dr’s and Veternarian’s and briliant young minds that we didn’t get the priveldge to watch grow here on earth. At the same time, I think of my six year old son that has grown to accept death at his young age and has already asked Jesus to please take care of the new people that are coming to heaven and to help their families to not be sad.  I am so sorry for all of your losses.  I know you will be sad, I hope that God helps you through those times.  The people all of you will touch over your lifetime is enourmous when you tell this story.  You are Virgina Tech, live on and live strong.

God Bless,

Lora

If you have ever been to Blacksburg, VA, you know what an incredibly special community it is. I was fortunate enough to coach in the athletic department for four years, and there’s a magic about the place. It doesn’t take long until you are covered from head to toe, in Burnt Orange and Chicago Maroon. It’s a small town with a big heart, and a love for all things Hokie- Hokie Bird, Hokie Stone, Hokie Hokie Hokie High, Tech Tech VPI...it’s a place where the community rallies in support of each other. They will need all of us now.

My heart goes out to to the victim’s families, and to my personal VT family. You are in my thoughts. I wish you comfort and peace at this absolutely unexplainable and unimaginable time.

Only we shape our world, and only we can heal it.
Peace

To all of you who are grieving, I share your pain, I wish there were the right words and prayers to send you all-to take away your tears and your feelings of numbness at this time. I lost a son, and my husband, and I do know that the only way to survive this and to move on in your lives is to give your pain and sorrows to God and ask Him to help carry you through these horrible days-and nights as you try to see and understand why this horrible killing spree had to take away your loved ones!!!God will heal you, and He will care for those you love so much, and He will not let them feel any more pain-----------and He will be with you to get you through all your coming days!!!God Be With You and all of your loved ones!!!! The whole nation is with you in prayer and share in your grief and sorrow.  This is such a tragic, senseless act of one person.  One person, whose choices have caused such horror and pain.  We can take that and be “one” person who chooses to do good by making this a better world to live in.  One person can make a difference for good or for evil!  Let us be a nation to stand up for good and turn away from violence and hatred!!

Such a tradgedy as this affects not only a localised community but one of greater proportions. The pain and suffering of those involed directly or indirectly is felt by those the world over, and such a tradgedy as this outlines furthermore the importance of comradeship, faith and life. Such precious lives were lost for what seems like a senseless reason, and it is now time to pray for those who have been lost and ultimatly learn and grow from our mistakes. Prayers the world over have and are being said for all those involved, and good can only be drawn from such an event if strength is saught and compassion and respect lives on through us all. God be with us all and watch over us.
