Dear VA TECH:

You have been on our mind too! You are in our prayers and thoughts! We mourn with you! We share this loss with you!

I live on the Westcoast of Canada and have no ties to any of you at Virginia Tech. I heard the News report on the Radio at about 1pm our time and jumped to watch the News on CNN only to be horrified by your situation. Today, I am just starting to feel your losses and my Heart and Prayers are with you all at VT. My Aunt taught me this Prayer and here I say it for all of you.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I have asked you for many favors,
but I plead for this one.
Take it and place it in your open
Broken Heart and when the eternal
Father sees it covered with the
mantle of your most precious blood,
He will not refuse it, it is not my
prayer, but yours.
Amen

Sadness has never known darkness like this.  I am utterly impressed with the expression of faith from the many people who have been interviewed. The courage of those in this horrific scene shine a light for the future.

To each and every person who lost a loved one my deepest sympathy.  To those injured, may God wrap his arms around you to heal.  May God shine a light of hope and faith to us as a country as we all heal from this.

Our thoughts are prayers are with each of you from Decatur IL. We treasure our students and they are like “our Children” to us. Some of us are their “parents away from home”.
I am sure that is how it is there too.

It’s a shame that
God has been taken out of the schools and guns have been allowed in…

Dear Hokie Nation,

I think you have answered the question, “What is a HOKIE?”.  It is a hero, friend, fan, soul, son, sister, parent, wife, clown, thinker, lover, fighter and pillar of strength.  No one in this country will question that for years to come.

As W said in his speech yesterday, there are people all over whom you’ve never met praying for you and sending support.

Where there is love there is hope.  We will prevail.  We are Virginia Tech.

To the Virginia Tech, Staff, Students and Families
My heart goes out to your university. Life has dealt you a blow and all we can do is sit and worry, but God said, “Have you forgotten that I am here to take all your burdens and carry them for you?” Always remember, God give us strength and courage to trust him because he is working all things for the good of those who love him. Keep trusting in God and he will direct the path of this University. “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength” Isaiah 40:31

My husband I were unable to sleep last night, as the harsh reality of this violent act, shook our peaceful home.  Trying to come to terms with an act that extinguished the lives of so many innocent people is nearly impossible, because how can can it be explained or understood?  Our thoughts and prayers are with all the victims of this tragedy.  May God restore your broken hearts, and preserve your faith.

To the Students, Family, and Faculty,
My family and I send to you our thoughts and prayers.  There are really no words that can express how we really feel regarding this situation but know that there are people all over the country and world that are standing with you during your time of grief.
Also, know that during this time you are being held in the hands of God.  He has not left you.  At this time he is carrying you through this valley and will bring you out of it.  He will comfort you, hold you, guide you, and walk with you.  He hears the prayers you can not voice at this time.  He sees your tears and is holding your hand. There is a reason even though we do not understand.  I know you do not want to hear that last part.  It does not help right now but hold on, do not let go, we are here for you.  May God Bless You.  We are so sorry for your loss.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers and we are so sorry this had to happen.  Please know that we feel your President and staff did everything they could with the information they had at the time.  Hind sight is 20/20 and anyone can be a second string quarterback.  Do not worry about what the media is saying, take this time to grieve the loss of your friends.  God bless you all.

Dear Virginia Tech Community, families, students, faculty,

my deepest symphathies are with all of you. I am shocked over what has just happened to you and there are no words capable of expressing the grief, the helplessness and the hopelessness you are just now experiencing. I am a German native, now living in the United States. Being a student myself, I know this could have been happening at my university. To me, it’s impressive, how great the communities at the universities are and I hope, each and everyone can draw energy, hope and help from YOU - THE HOKIES!! I followed the memorial yesterday on air and let me tell you: not only the immediate people around you are there for you: the entire nation as well as the world keep you in their thoughts and prayers.

God bless you VT - you are not alone in these tragical moments. Reach out for help as it is offered to you to get over this. Take care of each one yourself and eachother.

Stay strong - stay friends. Again: God bless you!
