What words can we use to even begin to express our sorrow at this terribly sad and tragic time.

We are two Christian Baptists from Dorset, England. Our prayers are with all of you. For the souls who are now resting with our Lord Jesus, for the families and friends who mourn their sudden and unexplainable loss, and for all the staff and students who have to walk the long road of coming to terms with this terrible, terrible event.

May you take comfort in God’s presense as he brings you through this dark time.

My love and condolensces to the students, faculty, and victims and the families....you are in my heart and prayers....I pray mostly that there will soon someday be a solution to prevent these ongoing tragedies with these schools, it is time for change and we all need to keep an eye for any suspicious activites and communicate with friends, families and faculty and CONTINUE to notifiy the authorities even if it means a “false alarm”...I too was was attending a community college just over a year ago and there was a gunman that had shown up at the main library...very traumatic to say the least for EVERYONE!...Thankfully the magnitude of this assault was not as deadly as it could have been...our law enforcement needs a dramatic change...more than 2 hours to respond is unacceptable!!! Everyone has an important role to play in preserving our freedom and safety in this country...Everyone...May angels be around each and everyone one of you through this time of grief...my love and compassion goes out to each and everyone of you!

Sincerely,
Elora Lehoux,RN

I am just a mom from Los Angeles, California. So far removed from you all and the tragedy that you have suffered. But, the reality is, I cried with you yesterday. I felt your pain, in as much a way as I could. Please hear our prayers in your name, Please know all over the country there are people, just like me, who are praying for you. We wish, at your young age, you didn’t have to face such an ugly horror. We wish we could protect your young hearts from such sadness. But, we are here, wishing you all God’s grace and blessings to help you cope with the coming days, weeks and years. The person who did this is evil; and he is solely to blame for your pain. God have mercy on his soul. And for all the annonymous moms out there, we send you a big hug. God Bless You!

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures:
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul:
He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’ sake.

Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For You are with me;
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.

God’s blessings upon those suffering from this tragedy and prayers of peace to the families and friend of those who died.

My heart is heavy as I watched several hours of CNN today of your tragity. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and the mom’s and dad’s who lost their children. I felt their pain today...prayed and cried. And asked God why? He told me..terrible things happen in life but...always know I am here and I am with those who have perished.they are seated at my right hand...right now,,and I am in the hearts of those family members.
I must tell you how moved and impressed I am with all of you students. You have stood by your school and each other. Never placing blaim and embracing each other..no matter what your race or faith preference. I am also impressed with CNN’s compassionate news coverage. A breath of fresh air during this horrible time. As they say...time heals all wounds..and this too will pass. Not forgotten but my prayer is that all of you will continue your studies and be all you can be...if not for yourselves..but for those who will never be able to.

With love and admiration for your courage to continue…

To all of you affected by this horrific tragedy, my heart goes out to each and every one of you as you grieve your loss. I teach at a high school, and the thoughts and images of what has happened, and what you are going through have profoundly touched our teachers and students alike. This is a sad reminder, that we, as educators and students, must find ways to become more vigiliant in our attempts to identify at-risk students, and find proactive ways to offer these students the help they need before senseless tragedies occur. I pray for you all to find the strength to come together to restore not only your wounded hearts and spirits, but in time, the ability to reclaim a campus climate of sanctuary-- where safety and peace, along with healing, allow you continue to pursue educational excellence and your dreams. In the face of tragedy, embrace each other, and from that; gather the strength, and compassion to inspire and empower each other. We send you all these wishes and more, but most especially we send our love. Consider yourself hugged.  xoxoxo Diane H.

My heart and prayers go out to all the students, faculty, and staff of Virginia Tech as well as their friends and family.  I know I speak for many alumni when I say that we have all been deeply saddened by Monday’s terrible events.  It will undoubtedly be quite some time before our community can again feel some sense of normality.  My only hope is that when all the grieving has ended, all the tears have been shed, that we can remember Blacksburg as the magical place where we spent, and will spend, some of our best times together and do our best to ensure it can be that same place for many generations to come.  While we have suffered an unconscionable loss, I take much comfort in knowing that the spirit of the Hokies will endure this tragedy, for nothing so great shall ever perish.

As the mother of three daughters in college, I cried when I heard of your tragedy.  No words can express the sorrow in my heart, and the heavy sadness that engulfed me.  I will keep all victims, students, families of VT, and all associated with your fine institution in my prayers and in my heart.  I was at an Astros baseball game tonight. We had a moment of silence in honor of all of you, and our flags in Texas are all at half-staff to show our support for all of you.  Texans share your grief and pray for all of you.

To the VA Tech community:
As a nation, our hearts ache for your loss and the WORLD comes alongside you to share in your grief. The God of this universe, along with His Son, our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, are most assuredly weeping with you in your time of despair; please know that your loss is equally Their’s.
We are confident, yet will pray without ceasing, that you will conquer this great injustice and trust that you will rise above the depths of your pain and sorrow.
Since we cannot know the degree of your anguish and have no tangible way of fully expressing our compassion, please allow us the extreme privilege of honoring those whose lives were taken so prematurely by committing to constant prayer on their behalf as well as for those of you who have lost a friend or loved one.
May God bless you always and may you experience the healing that only He can provide.

I recently lost 2 nephews in a house fire, and my beloved father-in-law to natural causes, this passage helped me, maybe it will help you too:
And if I go, while you’re still here...Know that I live on, vibrating to a different measure-behind a thin veil you cannot see through. You will not see me, so you must have faith. I wait for the time when we can soar together again, both aware of each other. Until then, live your life to it’s fullest. And when you need me, just whisper my name in your heart,.... I will be there.

I have shed many tears over the past couple of days as I have watched the events of this terrible tragedy unfold.  My heart weeps for each and every person affected by this senseless act.  As an Oklahoman approaching the anniversary of a tragedy that took the lives of so many innocent people, I can understand the emotions and feelings that all of you are going through.  While watching the news coverage today, I was reminded of the Brian Littrell song, “Gone Without Goodbye”.  The chorus of the songs is as follows, “I can feel the pain looking in their eyes, but I don’t know gone without goodbye.  If I could reach the sky, I’d bring them right back to your arms. Though, I haven’t seen your child, he/she is forever in my life.” This tragedy has affected the world and should never be forgotten.  I pray that you will keep the spirit of your loved ones alive and remember them for the lives they lived and not for the manner in which they were taken.
May Jesus mend your broken hearts and may the grace of the Lord be with you now and always.

Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted.”

God Bless each and everyone of you.

Our love and condolences go out to each and every one who was affected by this senseless and horrible tragedy. We are strengthened and proud of the dignity and strength of all of you there at Virginia Tech. It is so hard for us to make any sense of all this, so being there, being students or teachers, and staff, it must be so very hard to understand and comprehend.
We pray that our Heavenly Father and the Savior will be with all of you, wrapping you in their loving arms, to help everyone through this difficult and painful time. Everytime something like this happens, you begin to think that there is nowhere that you can be, that is safe anymore. Each time seems more and more horrifying, and yet we go on, hoping that something like this never happens again. We must go on, and we have seen this happen the past couple of days, your spirit and resilence is something you should all be proud of. We are all behind you, and we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
Take care, and continue to stand strong, together!
