Dear Families and friends of the lost,
When i got out of my school on April 16th I heard the worst news possible 32 students dead at Virginia Tech. I was very sad and cried even thought i knew no one at that school i still felt sorrow. I watched the special on the incident and was even more saden when they talked about the frightened students, the brave, and the heroes that died it made me wonder what has this world come to. Schools are supposed to be a safe envoriment but still people find the need to make every place we go a terrible fear. Why? i asked my self why did all those innocent kids have to die? I then prayed to god that he would help you all through this hard time that he would help mend the broken hearts. I want to let you all know that you are in my hearts and I hope you can make a safe recovery.

Love and sympathy.

Dear Students, and Faculty,
At this very sad time, I want to tell you,
That my heart goes out to you. I cry for you, and the loss of your fellow classmates. I won’t pretend that I know what you are going through.
This was a senseless tragedy,and I know that you feel your world has come crashing down around you. You are not alone, and remember, That this too shall pass. Although you will never forget,
With Gods Blessings, and the passing of time you will heal!
My prayers are for all

To all at VirginiaTech
My heart goes out to all, this was such a senseless crime. Someone once said, “That which does not kills us can only make us stronger” I know at this moment the saying is no comfort, but hopefully maybe we can find some truth in this one day.  My mom died Easter morning, so you see I also am morning right beside you all.

Shocked to hear the news. My deepest sympathies to the families of the slained victims. My heart tightens seeing the plight of the nation and wonder how a young college student could have the heart (or not) to do this action. How could the people who came in contact wit him have ignored all the signs that supposedly were there?? I wonder if this could have been avoided. I am sure all parents are worried that their kids are not safe anywhere..

Dear students, faculty, friends, and family members of those who lost their loved ones,

It must be hard to get over losing someone who has made a remarkable difference in your lives.  I know I am only thirteen, but i still have a huge perspective on this tragic event.  The students that were victims of this shooting must’ve been terrified when their lived were taken away in seconds.  Everyone knows that nobody deserves to be involved in such a vicious crime.  It goes along with the saying of “Only the Good Die Young.” I just wish to pass on sorrow and sympathy for those who have to deal with family members or close friends who died at such a young age, and hope that all the injured ones who survived this event recover soon.  I don’t know why someone would commit such a crime, but there was no way we can go back and time to prevent what has happened.

Peace be with those who have to deal with this pain.

Sincerely Yours,

Devon D. <3

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”

The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”

Just a few words.......my heart, thoughts and prayers are with ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!!!

When someone we love passes away,
We ache, but we go on;
Our dear departed would want us to heal,
After they are gone.

Grief is a normal way to mend
The anguish and pain in our hearts;
We need time to remember and time to mourn,
Before the recovery starts.

Let’s draw together to recuperate,
As we go throught this period of sorrow;
Let’s help each other, with tender care
To find a brighter tomorrow.

To everyone who felt this, I am so, so sorry. I hate this whole situation. I can’t stand to think of how hard each of those students worked to get to where they were, all of those dreams that they had, just to lose it all in a matter of minutes. I can’t imagine how scared they must have been...how scared all of the students must have been. I’m sorry for the teachers that lost their life and to all the families that have to carry on now. I know a piece of their heart is missing. I know it’s going to take years to find a way to put both feet on the ground once again, especially for the survivors that had to watch their friends get killed right in front of them and not knowing if they were next. I’m sending all the love I have your way and I’m praying that someday, you’ll find solace. God bless.

To all those faculty, students, family, and friends of those lost to us,

I am sure I can speak for all of us at Radford University when I say all of you are in our prayers. Though it’s hard to understand and our anger is hard to contain, we must all look forward. Letting hatred settle in our hearts will only breed more terrorism. We will not forget those lost, and we will always continue to celebrate their beautiful lives. They are now safe from pain in the embrace of God.  May God bless everyone this tragedy has touched.

I am so sorry for the pain and loss that has been inflicted upon your campus.  As I read the biographies of the victims, I cannot help but be struck by the tremendous loss of talent and potential at the hands of one person.  The world will never know what great things might have been brought about by these young people.  I hope that you can find solace and comfort in each other and the knowledge that the thoughts and prayers of the entire world are with you at this time, and I hope that while Virginia Tech will never forget this tragedy, it can soon again be a place of learning, comfort, and joy.
