"It will be the little things
that you will remember
the quiet moments, the smiles,
the laughter.
And although it may
seem hard right now,
it will be the memory
of these little things
that help to push away the pain
and bring the smiles back again.”

~Our prayers are with all those who lost family and friends in this horrific tradegy.

I do not know any of you personally, but please know that my heart goes out to all of you at Virgina Tech. This kind of tragedy is what brings us together as a nation. I watch all of you brave young people, talking about the friends you lost and it brings tears to my eyes. It is so sad when one single person has so much sadness and hatred in his heart and mind, that he could carry out such an ordeal. My heart goes out to his family as well, as I can only imagine the heartache they are feeling now. Not only do they have to deal with the loss of their own child, but they are left to deal with the overwhelming guilt of what their son did and the lives he took. It is a sad state of affairs, no matter how you look at it. Thoughts and prayers go out to each and everyone of you who have been touched by this senseless tragedy. God be with you and give you strenght to carry on and move forward with your lives.

It is sad,very sad.
I pray to God to bless my kids and to give streng to the families because is easy to said sorry, but you have to be close to the inocent victims to understand that there`s nothing that can give them calm, they just can find peace on God and I will pray for them.We also need to understand that we need to pray for the soul of Mr cho because He was very confused and was also a victim of His own emotions and sicotic problems, without getting the apropiated help on time and His parents.God Bless.

Dear friends and family,

I am so saddened by the loss of so many wonderful people just going about their business.  It is such a loss.  I am from India, and I noted the biography of Minal Panchal- and I was horrified to hear about her.  About 37 years ago I left Mumbai to come to the USA and my story reads just like Minal’s.  Although my Mom and Dad are passed on my heart just goes out to Minal’s mother.  I wish I could do something for these families.

May God bless each and every victim and their beloved ones and give them comfort.

We would like to express our sorrows and extend our deepest sympathy to all students, faculty, and staff of VA Tech. We are a family of Virginia Tech alumni. As two sisters and two brothers, we have attended, graduated, lived, and been part of the VT/Blacksburg community for past 25 years. Even though we have come from far away and another side of the world, undoubtedly and with even more pride now than ever, we can say that there is no other place that we would rather have lived or live than here, our friendly community. There are no words that can ease the pain of loosing the loved ones to such a tragic event. Seven years ago, we heard the news of our Mother’s sudden and accidental death from thousands of miles away. Although, we will never forget such tragedies and we will always miss the physical presence of our loved ones, we can all hope that they feel no pains; they are all in peace, and in a safe place, and their memories forever remain with us.

Peace,
The Mirlohi Family

My heart goes out to each and every family member that has been struck by this horrible outrageous event. The families that will never be the same, but yet have to try and go forward are the one’s who have suffered the worst heart aches. Your Children are still with you,in your hearts, but they have gone on to be with God now, performing an even greater job, than you or I could ever imagine, Keep them alive with your stories and wonderful memories.

I cannot stop looking at the faces of the victims and mourning the lost potential and wasted gifts all these people could have shared with the world. This is a huge lost for all of us. They were the best of society and I would have been honored to know any of them.

I pray that their families and friends can heal over time, and that they know how many people are thinking of them.

As a father of a daughter that wants to go into engineering I would hope and pray that she would be blessed to have a professor like Professor Librescu. For this “Hero” who had already been through so much in his life never took a second thought into putting himself in the line of fire so that his “children” could continue on with their lives. My thanks and prayers go out to his wife and family.

I am an Englishman who teaches English part time in Argentina and I spent a week trying to contact a girl after a major nightclub fire here which killed 193 young people while scouring the ever-growing list of victims.  It is a terrible experience to have.  On that occasion I had a happy result.  She was alive and unhurt.
Having lost my wife suddenly and unexpectedly at a young age last years, I can understand your agony.
Don’t cut each other off when it hurts.  Cling together for every bit of support you can can.  Ignore those who, in a few months (or even years), will start saying “you should be getting over it now”.  They don’t understand.
Those of us who do are just praying for you, the families who have lost someone (including the family of the killer who have that additional terrible burden to bear), those who are injured or have to care for and support someone injured, and those who survived unhurt except for the mental anguish and the natural false guilt that survivors often feel.
You are in my prayers.  God bless you all

Our daughter is a senior at VT, and by God’s good grace, is safe and well.  Our hearts just ache for the families and friends of those who were killed and we continue to pray for those who were injured.  This horrible day will remain forever in the VT community’s memory, but we are so thankful for the uniting bond that all the Hokies share, the incredible support that so many people have shown Blacksburg and the continuing prayers that are being raised on behalf of Virginia Tech.  Our hearts are with all of you.  Jean Lewis
