Words cannot express the pain and anguish I feel for all of the victims, their famillies, staff, professors and fellow students who had to endure this horrifc incident. It is heartbreaking to listen to the stories of those of you who were so close to the attacker and survived but watched your friends perish. My heart goes out to the entire V.T. community.  Your support system goes beyond the campus, the world is here to give the support you all need to get beyond this and heal.  I will keep you in my thoughts, close to my heart and pray for you. I am a VT Alumni and graduated in the class of 2001.  My maternal family is in New Zealand - other side of planet earth.  I would like to share my Uncle’s condolences.
“Our thoughts are with you and all American people with the terrible news. One can not imagine what may have been in the mind of this deranged person to take so many young persons from us.
Please convey our sympathy not only to those directly affected but to all American people. Your loss is shared by all New Zealanders.
It is events like this which should bring it home to all parents and all mankind that evil and devastation can happen in the most respectable environments at any time. God be with us all.
Yours In Sadness, Philip and Family” - Philip McGrath, Auckland, New Zealand.

I am a mother of two sons who attend VT.
Fortunately they are safe. But, for those parents
who lost a loved one, I hope the following poem I
found, will offer them some comfort:

Remember Me..............
As the wind stirs the leaves…
Remember Me As the evening sunset cast
its rosy glow ...
Remember Me As you smell the earth after
a fresh, spring rain…
Remember Me As you hear the sound of a
child’s laughter…
Remember Me As the warm summer sunshine
caresses your skin…
Remember Me As the first winter snow flake
falls to the ground…
Remember Me As the smell of spring flowers
tantalize your senses…
Remember Me As you are wakened in the
morning by the song of a bird…
Remember Me As the days gently ease, one
into another…
Remember Me As you greet a smile on a
friendly face…
Remember Me As you walk through life…
Remember Me For I shall…
Remember You…

To all at Virginia Tech,
I salute your resilience that you have so wonderfully displayed despite being hit by an unfathomable tragedy. My heart and prayers goes out with each one of you – the victims of bullets, their friends, parents and teachers, in fact with the entire academic world that lay shattered with the massacre of brilliant brains. Words are pathetically insufficient to condole the many untimely deaths and condemn the insane act. I am here just to tell you, come what may, you must continue to INVENT THE FUTURE. You have a holy mission and many like me are behind you always. God bless

Life has changed for each and every one of you. Please accept our prayers as you move on from shock to eventual healing. Though you will never forget, remember that time numbs some of the pain.

Our prayers and support for all of you.

My eleven year old son and I have shed many tears, shared many fears and recalled many wonderful times in Blacksburg. We will continue to visit town and campus, but we will never be able to do so without remembering the tragic and senseless loss of these members of the Hokie family.
God has something in all of this for everyone of us.Let us find it and allow this horrible event to change us; to love and be loved more and more.

I cannot even begin to imagine what it must have been like for the students and faculty when this tragedy occurred, nor for the families that are now left behind. But the world is mourning with you, and the entire Virginia Tech family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Where are the heroes? Who was there to save Cho from himself? I believe in the power of friendship, but those limits were neglected this day. I ask that we all step out and help others, and that we learn from the mistake and burden that we all share: Ignoring those in need cost us lives. Reach out starting today.
Thank You.
My condolences to all and Cho.

Words…
the insufficient gauze
to wrap around your grief.
To little
to stop the flow
of pain.
powerless
to change a fate,
but in hope
powerful enough
to hold your soul
in whispered comfort
where no arm can reach
to hold you.

I am sorry beyond words!!!!

May God be with you and may you find or may you never loose your heart, your faith, or your hope in these desperate times!

My family and I have watched the horrible, tragic events of the 13th unfold on tv and we share your grief. We have a daughter at Auburn University and reolize it could have happened at any school.
We send our kids off to get a good education so they can have better lives only to have a sick, hateful person shatter the dreams that we have laid out so carefully for them.
May God be with each and everyone who has lost there precious family member, friend, or who like myself just feels the pain of what has happened. May your hearts heal with time. My prayers are with all of the Virginia Tech families.

So many thoughts and prayers are being raised for the outstanding men & women at Va. Tech. & their families during this difficult time. But let’s also pray for the other troubled teens & young adults in our nation that walk among us each day unsuspecting, with heavy hearts and enough anger to drive them to commit these violent crimes.  I pray that they can find the courage & strength to pull themselves out of their world of hopelessness and reach out to someone for help before reaching this point of desperation.
Love & prayers to each of you.

From Alexandria VA, and like to wear the VT ball cap in pride of my favorite VA team. I was as shocked as everyone. I am a retired US Army combat vet special operations and have to take off my beret to the students that blocked the door and thus saved more lives. This action under fire without training is outstanding. I salute you. You are all in my prayers.

These events are tragic, inexcusable, unforgiveable.  This and previous school shooting events have weighed upon my very soul. I’ve searched to answer the ringing question in my heart about how these acts could possibly be justified by the perpetrators of them. I don’t know if I’ll find the answer to that question, but I have discovered THE common theme between all of these events.

EVERY ONE OF THESE SHOOTINGS INVOLVED SHOOTERS WHO WERE ON ONE OR MORE ANTI-DEPRESSANT MEDICATIONS

THE MEDIA IS NOT DISCUSSING THIS AND IT SHOULD

Perhaps this is not only about the people committing these acts. Statistics are strong evidence. I plead that each of you who read this post look into it, for the sake of us all.

With all love outpouring,

My thoughts and prayers are with all those that have been affected by this tragedy. Many colleges are uniting and there are thousands of groups on facebook showing love and support, and starting candle leight vigils not only in remembrance, but also support. When I need support for troubles I am going through I trust in God. Proverbs 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. I know our nation is divided among religion and whether or not the word God should appear in court rooms and schools, but hopefully this will help those who need it.

"An Epidemic”

Spreading like a disease
The world is in grief
Mourning for those lost
Lost to anger
Lost to hatered
Lost to the ones who are weak

Only those who are weak
Have to prove themselves by being strong
Strength is not nickle-plated and held in your hand
Being aimed and ready to fire
Strength is within the mind
And the ammunition is in the heart
