of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower,
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind. “

I wish to express my condolances to the students, and parents of Virginia Tech. The horor and shock you experanced that early monday morning was shared with the world, and today the world morns with you. As a Virginian I am emormously proud of the courage shown by the students, administration, and state leaders. At least for a while we are all one nation, with one purpose, one agenda, to show love and care to others in need. Tracy Lee

I have experienced many emotions over the past days as I have watched not stop news reports, but sorrow for what you are experiencing (I can’t even begin to imagine) supercedes them all.  Take care of each other and you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

There are no appropriate words that can ease the pain or console someone when they have lost a loved one, or experienced something this horrific. Just know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers. The school spirit that you have shown is the greatest asset you have to get through this. Comfort each other now, and I believe that it will help you come through. Remember that the country is behind you as well, we are all thinking about you.

IT IS A SHAME THAT HORRIFIC THINGS LIKE THIS MUST TAKE PLACE FOR PEOPLE TO COME TOGETHER.  IF ONLY WE COULD LIVE AS FAMILY ALL THE TIME AND SHARE WITH EACH OTHER OUR PAIN, OUR THOUGHTS AND OUR IDEAS THAN MAYBE THIS KIND OF TRADEGY WOULD NOT HAPPEN.  IF WE WANT PEACE AROUND THE WORLD, THEN WE MUST BEGIN AT HOME, WITH YOUR NEIGHBOR, YOUR CO-WORKERS, ETC. WE MUST GET BACK TO THE BASICS OF FAMILY AND WE MUST PUT GOD BACK INTO OUR LIVES, SCHOOLS AND EVERY ACTIVITY.  WE MUST LEARN TO LOVE EACH OTHER NO MATTER WHAT THE RACE, SEX OR BELIEFS.  MAY GOD BLESS EACH OF THESE VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES.  GOD BLESS THE STUDENTS AND THE FACULTY THAT MUST TO GO ON.  I PRAY GOD’S SWEET BLESSINGS BESTOWED TO YOU ALL AND TO ALL OF US AS A NATION.

I’m shocked from the news.. scared aswell.  My heart goes out to all the victims and their families, and wish all the students at VT my best.
I come from Kuwait, and go to Arizona State University, I myself am away from family and for something like this to happen scares me and my family even more.
I couldnt stop watching the news since the day it happened, and truly sorry and hurting for all the families and everyone who was affected.
There is so much I want to say, but not enough space to write.
God bless all who are hurting, and may things become better and heal within time.

We feel it very much that in these moments there are no words that calm the pain and a sorrow that you feel in this one moments, only to say to them that it should have a lot of force and many fé in God, because in this one moments the world I inform this one with you trying to support them of a form or other one. I am a student at Claflin University. When I heard of the news that a shooting was happening, I said to myself, my classmate Clint Stevenson goes there. So I emailed him to see if he was okay. I talk to him for a brief two minutes. It is sad when this happens because when some of this magnitude happens, it is a shock. To the family of the students that die, me being chaplain of the Freshman Class, I will pray for you, but just know your sons and daughters are going to another place to be with GOD. We are also having a candlelight vigil tonight at 7 pm, our whole university is mourning over the loss.

My heart goes out for the families and friends of the victims.  I am the mother of three and my youngest is a freshman in College. I live in Marion, Virginia, about 70 miles down the road from Blacksburg. Today at my high school all of the students and faculty members wore Virginia Tech shirts or a maroon and orange outfit. I want every student, faculty member, and family to know that you are in everybody’s hearts.

I wrote this for everyone.  For those that lost someone and for those who are experiencing this second hand.  Because honestly, I don’t know if there is ANYTHING in life more important than love.  My heart aches for the parents, friends, faculty and students at V Tech.  I’m so so sorry.

Last Words

I’m trying to remember
searching for insight
of our last conversation
was it good or did we fight?

Did I remember to tell you
to have a good day?
Did we smile at each other
knowing all is okay?

Did I show you appreciation
for you being you?
Did I make you feel special
in all that you do?

Did you know you’re a gift,
a prize in my life?
A soul to be treasured
through good times and strife?

Did I tell you often
that you’re kind and smart?
Did I remind you enough
of your place in my heart?

Did I tell you I loved you
before you walked out that door?
Was there ever any question?
Could I have done more?

* * *

My lesson was learned,
pain beyond belief.
Please share your love
before you share my grief.

T~

Please, all who read this, turn to your family and friends who are close to you and tell them of your love and appreciation and never ever stop.
