I would like to extend my deepest condolences for those who are deeply affected by this horrific experience and especially for those who lost loved ones.

God, in the ultimate compassion of the Almighty, is with you all and the graces he gives will slowly help you find peace. Your experiences touch me extremely deeply as I was the victim of a random act of violence. Bullets missed me by inches. I know your pain. I also know that healing comes, though not like the great torrents of your grief. But it still comes. You have all the support you will ever need from your extended family here in Santa Cruz.

I reach out to you and pray for you. May God keep you and give you strength now and for the months to come.

Love,

Fred

Dear VT community,

Being a college student myself, I am deeply saddened. I am a true believer in non-violence and strict gun control laws must be passed in Congress-hopefully this will occur in future.  God Bless!

I would like underline memory of those which are not here, Those which will be never again with us. Thirty three souls who fall asleep too many years before the fixed date. I’ve sorrow, I’m submerged by a Sad feeling. In this day we lose brothers, Pray for them, pray for this world who grow in part in the darkness. Forget tears and remember, these moment of life when your friends smiled with you and never forget them.

Puisse Dieu les acceuillir en son jardin eternel…

To All Of Those Who lost a Loved one in this Horrible Tragedy,My Heart goes out to you. Our children should not have to worry about going to school each day, they should be able to thrive and grow, and be educated in the great schools of the United States and Canada.{I am Canadian},and this has happened here too. Please know I will say prayers for all of you,and remember we are your friends, and neighbours, and we both must figure out a way to get rid of the guns.No bars or locks should ever have to be put on our school doors, and I hope our governments can unite to stop this from ever happening again. God Bless You All.  Sincerely, Gayle Van Heiningen, On.Canada.

My LOVE, HEART, PRAYERS and TEARS go out to everyone affected by this horrible tragedy… How could anyone do this to these innocent students and teachers. We will never get a reasonable explination, but we CAN join hands and move on with our lives as our lost friends are safe with Jesus now.

V-TECH, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!!

Keep your head up!

The murder is Native Korean, not Taiwanese.
Please do not hate students who are from Taiwan.
Lat time, I walk on the campus, one white student throw a stone to me.
I’m afraid.
I am good and peaceful Taiwanese.
Please identify well before you hate Asian.

I never knew any of the victims, and I’ve never set foot on Virginia Tech’s campus.  However, as a college student, I extend my warmest sympathies to those affected.  I’m sure all of those that died were good people.  It’s times such as these where human solidarity must be stronger than ever.  God bless all, and know the rest of the country stands behind you.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, the Vtech community and the community of Blacksburg. What happened was unspeakable, and I’m sorry that you must go through this pain. I hope that the knowledge that the entire nation and the entire world is with you in spirit will help you as you grieve. Your loved ones will never be forgotten.

The way the Vtech community has drawn together to heal is inspiring and beautiful.  Such a positive reaction in the face of unimaginable evil is much needed proof that goodness prevails. You have taught the world Hokie pride.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Beaver

To everyone affected April 16, 2007,
I do not know anyone who attends VA Tech but I just want you all to know that you have so many people praying for you all including myself. It is sad that this tragedy had to happen. I attend a university in British Columbia and students there are talking about it realizing that it could happen anywhere. It has reached so many people and you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I know what it is like to lose someone close without warning, it is not easy and it is a struggle, just remember that there are people out here who do care and who are praying for you.

God Bless You All!

Our thoughts and best wishes are with you all as you come to terms and grieve after this senseless act - having gone through a similar (fortunately not on the same scale) event on our campus in 1999 at La Trobe University the only advice offered , albeit hopelessly inadequate at this moment, is that time will eventually dull the pain.
Best Wishes

I have never had any connection to Virginia Tech--I don’t know anyone there, have never visited, don’t even know any alumni.

But as of yesterday, I and everyone else in the country, became a Hokie and we’ve all had our hearts broken.

Your resolve and spirit are inspiring us all. I hope that the thoughts and prayers of all touched by this tragedy will sustain you and help you through these difficult days.

When I woke up the morning of April 16, 2007 I was shocked and frightened for the students and faculty of Virginia Tech University. I followed the story all day and was deeply affected by the events that took place.
I am deeply aggrieved and saddened that such tragedy has taken place. Such events shake the very foundations of my belief in humanity. I was not alone. That very day students at my university began to mobilize to create and send their most heartfelt condolences to the students and faculty of Virginia Tech University, as well as the families of the victims.
My deepest condolences, as well as my heart, go out to the victim’s families and the students and faculty of Virginia Tech University. You are in my hopes and prayers during this trying and heartwrenching time.

I am an alumni of Virginia Tech. At Tech, we are all a family. The students are my sons and daughters. The faculty and staff are my brothers and sisters. We have a sense of community that goes anywhere. As long as you are with a Hokie, you are with family.

I have lost children, brothers and sisters. My family has been torn by this tragedy. I will wear the maroon and orange with pride but a sense of loss. I love my family and the Virginia Tech community is my family. I will mourn with you and hurt with you. However, we will all rise and become stronger and greater in our love for the university and each other.  I will embrace all from Tech no matter if they are faculty, staff, alumni, students or friends. My family will be strong and great because we all have the bond of love and community.

The great minds that were lost yesterday can never be replaced...possibly future scientists, doctors, mentors,inventors........ The world will never know now. I pray that all the families of the victims, can come out of this on the other side rid of all guilt, and knowing that the deceased knew they were loved until the end.
To everyone at Virginia Tech, my heart is open and wanting to embrace each and every person who was affected by this senseless act of violence.
Life must go on......
