My heart goes out to those who were lost that fateful day and to those who are part of the Virginia Tech family.  Even though I live no where close to Blacksburg it truely hits home.  Soon you will have to move on and honor those who were lost that day and forever keep them in memory. But Now it’s time to mourn your losses and recooperate after this catastrophic event.

Again my heart goes out to those who lost their lives and their familes who will now only have memories of them.

I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of this immense and tragic loss of life, loss of youth, loss of wisdom and loss of human potential.  I extend my sincerest condolences to all the families, friends, students, faculty and staff at Virginia Tech during this difficult time.  From the news coverage it is clear that this is a very resilient school and a proud, caring community.  You will all forever have only good spirits watching over you.  God Bless.  Let Love Prevail.

Virginia, my dear

A new class with dreams to make it big/Didn’t even have a chance in the world to live/I know some things will never ever change/A life is something no bribe can truly exchange/When it’s taken there’s nothing more left to bluff/People don’t think that death is serious stuff/Until you take that life away/And end up down on your knees to pray/I’m looking at the TV, got home for nightly news/I slowly lay back and untie my Sketchers shoes/There were people there who just started off/And families who must now accept the painful loss/Someone’s anger and pain deep down inside/Feelings of shame that they couldn’t quite seem to hide/He pulled a weapon and took out all the pain/But on the burdened walls left scarlet red stains/The persecution was never ever meant to be/I wish that somehow this man could really see/He didn’t realize the destruction that he caused/He didn’t even take time to stop and pause/He just pulled the trigger with emotions in his head/And then took his own life away instead/So take hold of the simplicity of God/Believe it or not your life means a lot/So love your brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ/And don’t ever think to take a fragile life

Once a Hokie,
Always a Hokie…

Blacksburg and Virginia Tech are special places that will forever be in my heart.  While you are in Blacksburg, it might be hard to understand that the whole world is watching you, praying for you, hoping to help you in any way.  They are.

We are praying that God gives you comfort and strength.

I know a couple people that went and do go to VT.  I can only say I was shocked at the news of yesterday, and it saddened and burddened my heart to know, hear , and see of such an atrocity towards humaity.  My deepest sorrows and sympathies, as well as my prayers, are with you students, your families, and the family of VT in entirety.

The Bible says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.” -John 14: 1-2

Your school has been a testament to the Nation and the World.  Stay strong, keep your hope, your pride, and each other, and most importantly keep your faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Good luck to all of you on behalf of myself and my friends at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.  God Bless

What a tragedy that has fallen on such a great and proud school.  I don’t know how to express my sorrow and sadness.  It is truly a sad day in the United States and makes you wonder how safe anyone is.  I am a teacher and believe that our schools should be one of the safest places to be but sadly, that is not the case.  My prayers are with all who are directly affected by this terrible tragedy.  God Bless You!

I am amazed at the incredible poise and class the Tech students are showing when being interviewed on the news. Seriously, each and every one of the Hokies I have seen is composed, eloquent, together, and a vision to admire while talking about this tragedy. Everyone in America should be looking to these students for guidance and lessons on maturity and class. We will never forget this.

Thoughts and prayers are with you all as you stop to mourn, then pick up and march on. The victims will not be forgotten, nor will the bravery of the survivors. Thoughts also go to the police, firefighters and paramedics who must stay strong to serve the public, and deal with the horror in private.

Let the world lift you up in prayer:

Lord-
May we remember the victims and their families, may we find forgiveness for the shooter, and may all reach out to the shooter’s family and other Korean students so they don’t feel the shame was on them. We don’t understand many things in life but help us to know we will know the answers when you return.  We also ask you give strength to the Police helping them to accept they did the best they could.
Amen

As a 4-year member of the Marching Virginians and a 1989 alum, it was very difficult to watch the tragic events that unfolded on the VT campus yesterday.  However, I have also been very proud as I watched students, faculty, and many, many others come together in various ways to share in their grief in an effort to begin the healing process.

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who lost a friend or a loved one yesterday.

I am certainly very proud to be a Hokie!

I hope that you all find peace and comfort in a higher power, during this most difficult time of your lives. May you remember your love ones as they where, for what they did, the moments in which they brought laughter, joy and happiness into your lives and the lessons which they left behind.  Try not to dwell on how they left you, but focus on how they enriched your life for the time that they where here with you, i will keep all of you in my prayers.
