Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Blacksburg and those families of the victims.  There is no sense that can be made of this terrible act.  I know the community spirit of Tech and it is very apparent from the television coverage that the Hokie spirit will prevail.  Let’s Go Hokies! We are Virginia Tech!

I don’t know you. I don’t understand your pain. I don’t know how to make it better. I don’t know if prayer is enough. But I do know this: I love you. All of you.

This is so tragic and sad. My Love and heart goes out to the families of the victims of Virgina Tech and all who attends Virgina Tech. I don’t know why these things happen, no one knows really. I still love that school and town though it has so much beautiful scenery there. We will never forget.

The strength and resolve of all of us has been tested again with the tragic events this week.

Here we pray for the families and friends of those beautiful children, there is nothing that can be said to make the pain go away, but just know that this tragedy has effected us all.

God bless you and keep you in your time of need.

Virginia Tech, home of the Hokies. I’ve visited the campus many times to see my sister off to school, the first of three to go to college. I remember the feeling I had when I first stepped foot on your campus, love. I could feel the unity and love filling every square inch of the campus. I never wanted to leave. I still feel that way today, I know you all will persevere and unite through this. My heart and prayers are with all Hokies and their families in this time.

Take care, God bless, and make us all proud, we know you can do it!

Our heart, as a collective people, breaks & aches for all the mothers, fathers, sons and/or daughters at VT.  With cries and groans not understood by human ear, we grieve with you.  Only another in your position could truly understand the depth of anquish, extreme loss and emptiness you must now be experiencing.  Please take comfort and know, however, each person touched by this evil tragedy is being lifted up in prayer and bathed in lovingkindness by millions around the world.  May God richly bless you, undergird you, sustain and serve to give you strength today and always.  G. ‘84 alumni

My heart goes out to Virginia Tech. I am so sorry this has happened and can’t even begin to imagine how you’re feeling. It will take time, you will get through this. To the families who lost a loved one, you’re in my prayers. Celebrate the life of your lost loved ones rather than mourn over their death.  Think of the good times and all of the days they lived rather then focusing on the one day that they died. “LET’S GO HOKIES!!”

“May your smiles light the world from above.”

Condolences to all.  It is an honor to be able to tell the VT community how proud I am as an American of your conduct during this hard time.  I am deeply saddened and extremely moved by the events of April 16.  Your students, faculty, and community have helped the rest of America find meaning in this terrible time. If there is any understanding in this unexceptional situation it is that people are basically loving and good.  Your students conduct has made that clear.  My thoughts and prayers are with everyone concerned.

I felt so shocked and so scared, and I am not even close to your campus, but I am on my own.  I, a student at the Univ of Oklahoma, am so sorry that all of you are having to go through this.  This person was a selfish human being that had absolutly no right to take your brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, and friends away from you.  I hope that God of heaven hears all of the crys that are being bestowed before him and shows this man that he may have hurt innocent people, but that you will all pull together in a sense of comunity.

I want God to show him that you will still love, and you will still function.  You may be broken, but your going to someday be past the harshness of grief and you will prevail.  You will remember the wonderful things that the people that you lost gave you.  All of the great memories, all of the love, and most of all you will remember thier great impact on your life.  This will be far greater than any selfish killer could ever have affected you. I also hope that this person understands that unlike the peoples lives that he took, he will always be a shame to his family.  You will all remember your family members for thier greatness.

My son just got back from 16 months in Iraq on the front line.  You had your Iraq in just a few hours.  Mourn, grieve, cry, embrace, and then live your lives to the best you can in honor of those who can’t.  I am sorry and you are very much in our thoughts and prayers.  Janet Dunn

My prayers are with all at Virginia Tech. Even though I am not a part of the VaTech community. Hokie love and Hokie Pride, we will show the world we will not hide.

Say a prayer for those deceased, and may god grant eternal peace.

There is no sense that can be made, as innocent lives have wrongly paid.

Wear your colors and wear them proud, tell the world and tell them loud…

WE ARE HOKIES! Short and tall, and the world will see we love them all.

I cannot seem to get the words out.  I am so saddened by this senseless tragedy.  I remember college being a time for fun and friendships.  Saturday afternoon football games and a place where people came in pursuit of knowledge.  No one should ever have to face what you are all facing now.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire VT community this evening.

To all who suffer from this terrible tragedy,

My heart cries and grieves with you.  I was terribly saddened to learn we have once again suffered acts of violence in our schools.  I have a 2 1/2 yr old daughter and a 1 yr old son, and I can only pray that this senseless violence will stop before my children go to school.  You have my sincerest and heartfelt sympathies, thoughts, and prayers.  May God grant you all strength at this difficult time.

My Thoughts and Prayers are with the Victim’s Family and with the Students and Facility at Virginia Tech. I just cant believe something like this would happen on a College Campus.  It just breaks my heart to hear what happen.  We need to do something with Gun Control...I am orginally from Charlotte NC and we just bured two policeman who were killed shot in the head trying to get over that and now this happens again.  I just wonder what this world is coming too.

April 18, 2007, 12:37am • Albemarle North Carolina • #3558

I am trying to understand the reason for this tragedy but no sane reasons will ever make sense.
Nobody is at fault here but the person who shot and killed the members of your university. The school could not have warned you of this, the Englsih department could not have known that this odd young man would brandish a weapon and kill his classmates and teachers and his roommates could not have know that the quietness of this young man would develope into such a awful display of anger and hate for himself and others.
Go on and hold up your heads for surviving. Finish school. Graduate and show him that not even he can stop you from achieving.
May God bless you all.
