There are things that happen that simply do not make any sense. We ask “why?” over and over even though we know deep down inside that there will never be an answer to this question.  My condolences go out to the family and friend of all who have suffer a loss. My prayers go out to those who are injured with the hope that all will recover and join your loved ones soon.  Let us find what we can learn from this tragic incident and grow as a nation but more importantly grow as humans.

Dear Virginia Tech Family,

Our sympathy, thoughts, and prayers goes out to all of you and the families and friends of the victims. These students were the leaders of the future and it is truly sad that their lives were cut short by such a senseless tradegy. It is also sad that your “family” lost some great educators. By listening to the students who were interviewed by the news media they had nothing but praise and respect for the professors who lost their lives. April 16th was truly a very very sad day for VT, but as Nikki Giovanni said, “You will prevail”.
May God bless you all.

My heart goes out to everyone......

Come to me
God saw them being taken,
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around them and whispered
Come to me,
With a tearful we watched,
And saw them pass away,
Although we loved them dearly,
We could not make them stay,
32 golden hearts stoped beating,
Hard working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

I earned my degree from another college, but my heart is on loan to the Hokies this week. Do not let this horrible tragedy define your young lives. You are students, faculty and staff at a tremendous university in this great country - never forget that. Hold each other tight, find “where the best hugs are”, and know that you are survivors.
God bless each and every one of you.

My heart and prayers goes to the families who have lost loved ones. I cannot help but think though that the lives of the 30 could have been saved had the president and the campus police took the first 2 killings seriously and not consider it a “domestic” problem, hence they did not do anything till a more horrible crime took place in another building. Murder suicide, so no problem anymore. It is unbelievable how anybody of authority can do that when 2 lives were already lost, no matter what kind of murder it is. Academic qualifications should not be the sole requirement for the position. When Matt Lauer asked him why he did not err on the side of caution, he said there were 9,000 on campus and 26,00 total students, which does not justify the inaction. Those incompetent to deal with an emergency should not be allowed to be persons of authority. They should be terminated at once.

To all of you i say be strong and be together. My family suffered a major loss with the death of my sister. She was loved by all who knew her and an insperation to many more. It has been 12 years and people still talk teary eyed as if it all just happened. I wont say it gets any better, but it does get easier, and one day you will be able to look back and smile about the times you had with the friends and family you have lost. Allow yourselves to cry, be mad or just scream. I am not an overly religous person but i can say questioning God will not get you any answers to this horrific act. You have a friend in Idaho
