For Many People Another Storm in Their Life Is When They Loose a Loved One. -Kirk Franklin.

It’s True But He Also Said to Remember Those People With Songs That Celebrate their Life, Not Mourn their Loss. You Should Only Forget The People Who Caused This Awfull Thing. HE doesn’t deserve to be remembered.

MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO ALL AFFECTED!
GOD BLESS YOU!

There is really nothing I can type here that expresses my feelings.  I didn’t go to VPI, instead, GMU in Fairfax.  However, today I saw all the flags at half mast.  I sat in my car, parked, looking up at the flags, and the biggest lump was in my throat. My eyes began to water.  The thoughts of the families of these young brilliant students whose lives were yanked from them before they could enjoy their rewards of studying and doing the correct things to prepare for a glorious life. Those parents, sisters, brothers, uncles and aunts--the pain they must feel is eclipsed only by the anger. The loss, the vacant space at the dinner table, the Christmases and Birthdays yet to come.  God, may their pain be eased by the thoughts and prayes of the world. There is no answer to the question, why?  Don’t waste your time trying to rationalize it.

To the students and alumni of that great institution, and the families, please know your tears are not alone.

Please do not post this. My name is Carlos Jones and I have been making portraits for our fallen soldiers and donating them to the families for over four years. I have the resources to make 32 memorial portraits that are over 20x24 inches each and ship them to your university for remembrance and the upcoming memorials. Then perhaps passed on to the families. I could actually have them completed and shipped within a day or possibly two. Each portrait has a poem specially written for the students. These portraits have been very well recieved and have the students picture and their name on it. Any help in this endeavor would be greatly appreciated.

Respectfully
Carlos Jones

The frequent tears in my eyes during the past 36 hours have of course come from the terrible tragedy, but more so from the pride of witnessing the strength, resolve and community of the Virginia Tech students, staff, administration and broader nation. I am proud to be a part of the Virginia Tech community and my pride is not diminished by the senseless act of an individual. Hokies everywhere grieve for you and with you while gathering strength to push forward and persevere.

To the students, faculty, families and community of Virginia Tech, our hearts and prayers go out to each and every one of you.  There are no words that can ease your hearts and minds although I hope the knowledge of knowing people across the Nation are mourning with you helps in some way.  May God bless you all and help you through this time of loss and intense emotions.

No one’s death comes to pass without making some impression, and those close to the deceased inherit part of the liberated soul and become richer in their humanness.

God Bless all the students, faculty, family and friends of the victims. God Bless the Virginia Tech community.

There are no words to express how sad, how senseless of an act this was. I keep everyone at Virginia Tech, all the family and friends of the victims, in my prayers. May God be with you all, and I pray that at the end of what seems like a long tunnel, there is the light of hope at the end. Hope is never lost.

God Bless the students and faculty- as a college student myself, I can not begin to imagine what you all have been through.

God Bless the Family, Friends of the victime- as I know there are no words to make these wounds any less painful, I simply can hope that you find comfort in the fact that the VT community and the nation has you in our prayers. God Bless you all, may the light of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you, and help ease your pain.

I am only able to watch these tragic events on television. It is so hard to see these things happen but to be in the middle of all of this must be heart wrenching. I am so sorry for your horrific loss and my heart goes out to you all.

An open letter to the students, faculty, and families of Virginia Tech

My name is Kate Severson and I live on Vashon Island in Washington State.  Seattle is not far, a ferry ride takes me there.  Puget Sound both connects and separates the city and these woods.

It is from the green of spring that I write.  Life is evident all around.  And at your school, in your hearts, death is close.  Forgive me if my words are out of place in your time of grief.  As I write I know it is as much for me as it is for you.

Mostly I want to say that I am thinking of you and holding you in my heart.  I watch all around as our world comes undone with violence.  I wonder what is wrong.  There is no good explanation.  One thing is certain; we are a traumatized people...all over the world.  If there is any hope it is in the capacity to heal and bring healing.  And it is connection that sustains us.

As I write these words to you I am aware that I am asking you all to work for the rest of us...don’t shut down, close your hearts, live in fear.  Show us a new way…

From here, which is not so far from there,

Kate Severson

God Bless You and your families. We have planned a campus-wide prayer on Thursday at Noon.

I can only imagine what the families and survivors are going through right now. We are all keeping VT in our thoughts and prayers; know that the country is supporting all of you! This is a time when we should all unite and try to get through this together. I pray for Cho Seung-Hui as well. I know he’s where he belongs now but he is also a victim. Something was obviously going wrong in his life in order for him to do something this horrific.
May God Bless all of you.

To all of the students, families, and friends of anyone at virginia tech who has lost a loved one, please dont give up hope on our community and university. This is a wonderful place and this tragedy has shocked and hurt us all. The worst thing we can do now is start to point fingers and ruin what makes this place great. We are all one big family and to do so would be a dishonor to our fallen brothers and sisters. We are all hokies and we are all in an unimaginable amount of pain right now.

I feel so much sadness and grief for your tragedy there at VT.  It brought tears to my eyes as I found it on the front page of my browser as I pulled it up. I was in total disbelief, shocked, then numb.  I am deeply sorry for this senseless act of violence that has happened in your community.  My thoughts and my prayers are with you, my friends, as you grieve your way thru and God gives you all the strength within yourselves and with each other so that you can grieve it and get thru it.  God bless all of you, your families and your beloved lost ones.  May they rest in peace.
