My heart goes out to you all for your losses. And for those who have been injured, I pray they get well. I pray that God will be a source of comfort to you all. That you will feel his presence. His arms around you. America shares your pain. Nothing can be said to take away the pain of your pain but please know you are supported and loved.

God bless you and keep you all in His loving arms. You will continue to be in my prayers.

We wanted to share our sympathies, prayers and condolences with the victims and families.  This is a time to come together as one no matter the differences we share.  It is a time to seek peace, to mourn, and to find strength in our Lord Jesus Christ.  Our Savior will help rebuild VT.  Know that the road may be long and hard, but turn to pray.  No matter distance, this incident shook schools and hearts everywhere.  And you will be in our prayers.

There are no words which can aptly condole anyone who is affected in this tragedy. It indeed pains my heart to think of this tragic loss. Being a graduate student myself, I can empathize with many at Virginia Tech. My heart weeps for everyone affected.

Allow me to conclude with a poem by Mary Frye:

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

When you see the sunset fair,
I am the scented evening air.
I am the joy of a task well done.
I am the glow of the setting sun.

I am the song that will never end.
I am the love of family and friend.
I am the child who has come to rest
In the arms of the Father who knows him best.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

to the families, staff, students, and friends, my deepest sympathy goes out to you now in the wake of this terrible tragedy.  There are no appropriate words that can be said to make everything as it was before.  Grow stronger from this, grow as you never thought you could.  Rise high and show everyone, that strength love and support will reign supreme over those that strive to knock one down.
God Bless you all.

Words cannot adequately express my sorrow at the senseless loss of life at Virginia Tech.  I sit here at my computer and ponder why people who don’t value their lives feel compelled to take other lives with when they chose to end their own life.

I have 2 students in college in Colorado and called them immediately to tell them that I loved them. And I thank God that I was able to do that.  There are 32 other Moms that aren’t able to do that now. My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to the family and friends of all of the victims of this atrocious tragedy.

A Day we’ll remember
A day of disgrace
One lone gunman
Sealed his fate

Thirty two people
All filled with fear
Hoping and praying
Their end wasn’t near

Taking victims
All by surprise
This one student
Caused their demise

Hero’s and friends
Were made this day
Helping each other
To safely escape

Healing will happen
Time we should take
Love and support
To all we should make

United we heal
Together we cry
Respect for the victims
We cannot deny

A college, a city
Our nation distressed
Prayers to the families
Of Virginia Tech

Swiftly to heaven
Together they went
Sharing their lives
With everyone they met

Bless them, and heal them
We’ll see them again
Someday in heaven
We’ll all meet as friends

Dear Virginia Tech community,

My thoughts and prayers are with every single person who has been affected by this horrific event. My thoughts are with every person that feels like they are alone.

When I found out about the devastation I stayed up all morning getting updates on the internet. I cried with you.

I watched the Convocation live on the internet. I cried with you. I watched the candlelight vigil. I cried with you.

My heart is heavy at the shear amount of pain the Virginia Tech community and America is feeling at this time.

It hurts me to see you like this.

Know this, people in Australia and around the world are grieving and praying for you.

Talk to someone. Don’t bottle it up. There are people you can talk to on and off campus.

The Lord said “Fear not, for I am with you.”

Now more than ever you need to believe this promise.

If any of you need someone to get you through this I am here. I will pray for you by name.

My e-mail is w0026127@mail.connect.usq.edu.au

Don’t hesitate to e-mail me anytime for support, day or night.

I will help you get through this.

I am here for you.

Be strong.

HOKIE HOKIE HOKIE HIGH, HOKIE HOKIE VPI!!!!!

Show the world your strength.

I may not have known anyone in attendance at VT, but i felt it the same. I even posted a bulletin with reguards to VT on my myspace page. I was truly braught to tears hearing about the horrible event on the 16th. I wish all faculty, students, family and friends nothing but prosperity and strength to go on as you try to adjust back to your normal lives. Be at peace knowing that God will always keep the lives of the deservant whether they are living on earth or in spiritual form. Though un-imaginable now, you will all be able to smile again one day :-)

To the VT Community,

Please accept my sincere condolences for this unthinkable, disgusting act.

My first thought was how can I help?  I want to help in the healing process.

Being a student myself at FAU/PBCC Boca Raton, Florida, it could just as easily been my school.

Is there a listing of things that I (we) can provide? Like airline tickets or hotel rooms?  How can I (we) make your lives just a little bit easier?

**NOTE TO REVIEWER**
If you think this is appropriate..please post my email address.  If not, you may omit.
Thanks - Heidi

From one tech to another....

I’m sitting here, folding and pinning orange and purple ribbons for students on our campus.  We’re not “engineers” this week, we’re hokies, with you.  We’ll be wearing orange and purple instead of maroon and grey, with you.  We’ll be remembering everything that happened....and that it could have happened here. You have our thoughts, our support, and our prayers...I just wish there was more we could give.

We’re all Techies and Hokies today.

Everyone in the Virginia Tech community is in my thoughts and prayers.  May God take your hurt and sorrow and may you remember the happier times you spent with your peers who perished.  Just remember that these young souls are now in better places than this Earth.  This unfortunate incident will always be part of us, but hopefully we can learn from it and allow ourselves to overcome any hardships we may experience in the future.  God bless you all and keep yourselves safe.

My heart goes out to all of those that we affected be this attack...My prays go out to the families of the victims and I pray for those that are deeply affected , May God be with all of you. This tragedy was felt on any campus anywhere across the United States… I can not even begin to understand what you are going through, It’s a very trying time for you and I can only offer my prayers and condolence to you! I really don’t know what to say, if there really is anything that anyone can say to make this situation any better…

I pray for all of the families and friends of those who were taken from us on Monday.  I also pray for all of those affected in any way by this tragedy.  I am deeply saddened that something like this would happen at a college campus.  We all think that it could never happen at our school, but this puts things into perspective.  Anything, literally anything, is possible, and we are not in control.  Only God knows what was going on in Cho’s mind that day and in the days prior to Monday.  I feel that no one will ever know why this happened or what made him do it, but I pray and pray that everyone who needs it will seek comfort from any place they can find it, and that the community of Virginia Tech, and our country, can one day triumph over the hatred and violence so publicly displayed on Monday.
From one college student to the thousands,
April S.

No words can express how deeply sorry I am for you. This story has touched my heart with sadness that someone could do something so horrific. No one is ever deserving of this. I am praying for you all and hoping that you will find peace in knowing your friends, classmates, and family is in peace themselves. I know nothing will ever take the pain away that you are feeling, just know that millions of people all around the world are with you, by your side, helping you get through this tragic time. God bless you.

I have never seen the campus of Virginia Tech, yet I love it as if it is my own.  My prayers and condolences go out to every Hokie, past and present, and their families as they mourn their losses.  I am fortunate enough not to know anyone injured or worse on the campus that day.

I cannot imagine anything more horrific than what these people have gone through.  It is a day I will never forget.

Hello, I am a Senior at Elyria Catholic Highschool in Elyria, Ohio. Although I do not know anyone who attends VT this is something that will tramatize everyone who hears and sees what has happend. This was something of unreasonable acts and is competely unacceptable. 33 honorable lives that were given by God as a gift were taken by a devastating event. As you are my distant peers and as a soon to be college student I feel deeply for the students, families, and the senseless shooter who will always be remembered and never ever forgotten. I wish everyone the best and to STAY STRONG, as a county and many nations around the world we are thinking and praying for you each and every day!

The lives of everyone have been touched by this horrific event.  It is important to be cautious, yet never let fear be your fuel for life, fear is tricky and can take your power.  Please know that millions of prayers, good wishes, and thoughts are sent to you at this time.  Take peace in knowing that those whose lives were taken are in a far better place, a place that is filled with warmth, love, peace, and eternal happiness.  It is those left to mourn with whom my thoughts and prayers especially belong to.
