Dear Virginia Tech-

I am saddened by your lost, and pray that God continue to strengthen you as you go through this hour of mourning.
Words cannot express how I feel but I want you to know that
we are one people, we are all hokies.

I personally have never been to the state of Virginia my entire life, but that doesn’t change the fact that here I am, trying to hold back tears while I am reading the profiles of those who were killed. I cannot honestly express how I truly feel, for it would take to long, and would not be at all appropriate in regards to how I feel about the person who has done this. I am deeply deeply sorry for everybody who has suffered, and who will forever suffer because of their losses.

I wanted to share my deepest condolences with the families and friends of those who were killed or wounded in this senseless shooting.  I am a current student at Virginia Tech, and eventhough I did not know any of the deceased or injured personally, i feel as if I have lost several brothers and sisters who had bright futures.  You will be missed, and I promise to never forget this day or any of you, and I plan on dedicating anything I do in the future to all Fallen Hokies.  rest in peace

Our heart goes out for everyone who lost a son, a daughter , a father , a friend, a brother, a sister. There is nothing in this world that we would say will lessen their grief except to share it with all of them. May God give peace to everyone.

I lie in bed and images of the day flash in my head
Gunman, massacre, people dead
Va. Tech, Va. Tech, Va. Tech

These aren’t the images I associate with Va. Tech.
The images should be the drill field, sisterhood, classes, Corp of Cadets, football, friends,
Purple passion, tailgates,
A piece of heaven on a sun shining day.

But Hell showed up on Earth instead and
Now many people are in Heaven.
Why?  We may never know.
My heart swells and my tears over flow.

The world will now know the university I love,
But the name will be a reminder of a dark side.
I will remember Ut Prosim;
I will serve my alma mater,
I will support it during this loss,
I will wear the colors boldly and
Continue to be filled with Hokie Pride.

There are no words to communicate the sorrow and devistation that nearly everyone I have spoken to over the past day and a half feels about this tragedy.  I don’t personally know anyone who lost a family member, but feel such a terrible sense of emptiness. My thoughts and prayers go out to not only the families of those lost, but the the entire Hokie community.  Time will begin the healing.  For those who are critizing the actions of the school, hindsight is a wonderful thing, but it is easy to place blame when looking for answers to a horrific what if.

STILL SHOCKED AT THE TRAGEDY THAT HAPPENED..... MUCH SYMPATHY TO THOSE FAMILIES THAT LOST ONE OF THEIR LOVED ONE DURING THIS SHOOTING...... IT MAYBE HARD FOR YOU TO FORGIVE WHAT THIS STUDENT HAD DONE, BUT WE BELIEVE IN A GOD THATS ALWAYS FORGIVING AND SELF-CARING.
NO ONE REALLY LIKE WHAT THIS STUDENT DID BUT, WE GOTTA LEARN TO COPE WITH IT AND FIND IT SOMEWHERE IN OUR HEARTS TO FORGIVE HIM.
I’M SORRY IF SOME OF YOU WOULD DISAGREE WITH WHAT I’VE WRITTEN BUT ALWAYS PRAYING FOR YOU AND HOPE YOU OVERCOME THIS PERIOD OF DARKCLOUDS.

First I want to say that I am truly sorry for this tragedy.  This hits kinda home to me.  It seems that the school shootings get closer and closer to where I live.  I am from NE TN and we are big VT fans down here when we aren’t cheering on TN.  For this to happen there feels like it happend at UT or ETSU.  You all are in our thoughts and prayers.  Its hard not to listen to the radio cause they have made songs tributes to this and I just want to break down everytime I hear about it.  God had and still has a plan everything happens for a reason and in the end we will see why.  GOD BLESS and GO HOKIES

I have 3 daughters in college at 3 different universties.  My heart goes out to all the family , friends who have lost theirs and also who have those injured. As a parent you pray every day your child will remain safe.  The world is hard, and as a parent we have no control.  I have you all in my prayers for this needless violence not expected on our children.

VT,

We are with you all.  We grieve and pray with you as you go through the process of healing.  For those of us up here in PA who witnessed the pain of the Amish school shooting, let us take a lesson from the Amish and try to heal by forgiving the unforgivable.  Time will make it easier, although none of us will ever forget.  God Bless you all and take care of eachother.  Your country is here for you should you need us.

Words cannot express my grief, only tears. While I do not live in Virginia and until now, had never known of Virginia Tech, I feel like I’ve known all of you my whole life. While I cannot fathom what you are all going through I feel it with you. While I feel despair I gain courage from you. In the darkest moment I can only draw from your strength and try to make sense of it all. You are not alone in your grief and can only hope in some small way I have helped, even in just words. My deepest condolences to all of you.
