Virginia Tech,
At the University of Virginia, we feel your loss and we mourn with you.  I have no way of expressing neither the sorrow nor the love that we hold for you all.  Our hearts and thoughts go out to students, faculty, families, and friends.  We are thinking of you always.

I cant even begin to express how terrible this ordeal is.  We are all humans, and I hope we can all come together because of this.  There is hope for you and the future.  I hope everyone will learn from this to make better choices in the future.  I am from Wichita State and I know that everyone here shares your grief.  All of us here support you and everyone who is affected.  Peace to you.

In the event of such a tragedy, it may be hard for some to believe God was truly watching over the great Virginia Tech yesterday.  But have no doubts that those whose lives were ended tragically, wrongfully, and violently, are resting with our Lord above.  No words I could say could repair the physical, emotional, or mental wounds suffered by those of you at Virginia Tech; but know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Whether you are a student, staff member, or friend or family member of the Virginia Tech community, know that you are not alone.  This tragedy has hit the hearts of this entire country, especially college students and faculty.  A tragedy like this can never be forgotten, and neither will those who lost their lives in yesterday’s horrific events.  God is watching over all of you, and all your friends and family members are now with our gracious God.  All we can do at this point, where questions are left unanswered, and reasons so unclear, is pray.  God is with you all.  God Bless Virginia Tech.

Although I am not a student at Virginia Tech, I am a Hokie at heart. My boyfriend, best friend, and many family members all attend Virginia Tech. Having spent so much of my time with them in Blacksburg, I am truly devastated. Blacksburg is my home away from home. The student body consists of diverse people from all walks of life that share a common school spirit and light in their eyes. I am praying for the victims and their families of this tragedy, as well as the everyone affected by this heinous act. As a resident of Virginia, VT you are making us proud! May God bless and watch over you all!

I would just like to express my profound sadness due to the recent, tragic events of this week. While nothing will ever bring back the lost, we will remember the lives of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. The memories we will cherish, the smiles we will never forget. On behalf of NC State University, may God be with the entire Virginia Tech campus. We will all stand strong and unite to support those who grieve the loss of innocent lives.

I can not express my sorrow for the lost lives in this horrific incident. I know there are no words that can ease the pain of loosing a loved one. On behalf of the University of Texas at San Antonio, I want to express my most sincere condolences to the Virginia Tech community. For our university, nothing could have hit closer to home than the tragedy experienced at yours.  The start of this week was frightening and reflective all at once. You guys are very strong and our prayers are with you all.

When I think of my own students, I think of the magnitude of your grief and loss.  We watch young people in our classes knowing that we may only teach them for one semester, but hope that something they learn in our class helps them to find their dreams.  How tragic to know those dreams can be stolen without reason or warning.  I pray for all of you and admire the way you are holding each other tightly to survive this tragedy.

My heart goes out to ALL, students, faculty, and friends and families.  4/16/2007 at Virginia Tech was and FOREVER will be a sad day.  BUT, from here-on-out we ALL must hold our heads up high and go on, for those fallen Hokies.

I’m sure I’m not the only one from Penn State that would say this so I speak for all Nittany Lions and saying, “We are all praying for you and are here for you, from one college to another.”

You Are....Virginia Tech
We Are...Penn State

....and we are ALL here!

The strength and support shown by the students during this tragic time is amazing. My love, support, and sympathy goes out to all the members of my Hokie family. I remember sitting in class at VT during the DC snyper shootings and thinking....thank God I am in Blacksburg. It is just such a safe place, far removed from all the crazniess of the world. I also watched the tradgedy of 911 from my college apartment. But even the tradgedy of that day did not have the affect of monday’s shooting. Stay strong, Hokies are the best in the world and you have shown that. I am now a military officer stationed in Puerto Rico, thanks to my wonderful VT education. I am so far away yet, VT is so close in my heart. To the freshmen of 2007, stay strong and show the world that Hokies persevere. No one and no circumstance can take away what it means to be a Hokie! All alumni are here for you. Lean on each other and lean on us.....never give up. We love you..............
My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and families.
To the ladies of Delta Zeta Sorority....you are in my heart.

My words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for your loss at Virginia Tech.  When I first heard the news of the shootings I became in awe at what I was hearing.  I myself am a college student at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC and could not imagine something of that calibur happening at our school.  Today as I walked through our campus (the day after the shootings)I began to look around at all of the buildings and all of the people, just thinking to myself “What if this happened here?” All of my thoughts and prayers are with the entire Hokie community and I hope that you will gain peace and comfort knowing that all of America is with you.  Today we are all Hokies!

We are Virginia Tech!

We are Hokies!

No one can ever take that away!

Time to put out my VT flag again!

Remember that those who are no longer with us are in a better place and will always be with each of you for the rest of your lives. I am sorry that this has happened to each of you.
